      NEWS FLASH FROM Ministry of Home Affairs

      Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) detainee Mas Selamat bin Kastari escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre at 4:05 pm on 27 Feb 2008.

      Mas Selamat was the leader of the Singapore JI network. He walks with a limp and is presently at large. He is not known to be armed. Extensive police resources have been deployed to track him down.

      The public is advised to immediately contact the Police at 999 if they know of his whereabouts .

      Why our media didnt disclose how he managed to walk out of the gate???? No police jaga? No cctv? Come on. Be honest. Tell the truth.

      Ok.... how the flying *bleep* was a criminal able to escape from custody, much less a high-profile one like this fella?!?!?!

      before going on a witch hunt, let them get the bastard first..

      then after that, you will see a lot of people getting chopped... but methinks mostly will be the kar-kia...

      i'm willing to bet a lot of money that they were hopelessly understaffed there..
