har..im a christian and i admire jj lin leh. i dont think there's anything wrong with his songs. songs are meant to express how u feel anyways. but those songs which are meaningless and whose aim is jus to influence ppl to think and behave in a certain way deserve to be condemned..

Actually there's a basis to that. In the bible satan is being referenced as Dragon especially in the revelation chapter.
I also don't want to collect anything dragon like the McFarlane's Dragon series for example. Not because I think those toys are satanic but I just don't want to collect anything symbolising satan.
.Some Christians even go further like refusing to buy and eat Lindt chocolate because the wrappings have a picture of Dragon on it.
It's pretty much a matter of personal preference. -

how is your spirit after hearing such songs, do you feel pumped, angry, frustrated, depressed etc?
if you are, then such songs shouldn't be listened to.
lol my church also got say stuff like harry potter isn't good etc, which i agree, that children (in the christian community) who're easily influenced shouldn't watch, but i go for the effects and story and of course, its a blockbuster la!

That is not the point. You didn't read my post well. If I were their parents I would not give my children name dragon whatever in Chinese because I don't find that name inspiring at all.
But this is solely my personal preference and I do not insist that no one name their children dragon whatever in Chinese.
I do not judge that whoever named dragon something is a descendant of Satan well because there is no descendant of Satan.
Satan is on over exaggerated entity mostly thanks to hollywood movies ... its kingdom and power is always 2nd class. And it is the last....LOL but if you never see anything else...well.....

I didn't mean that the people of China name their children with the word "é¾™" (dragon) in their name but the people in China proudly declare themselves as the descendant of the dragon. Refer to 为什么把ä¸å›½äººç§°ä¸º“é¾™çš„ä¼ äºº” to see what I mean.

During my ns i remember hearing my 3rd sergent saying that dragons are evil because they refuse to dunno obey or bow to jesus thats why they are classified as evil and in the same group as satan . But from what i think it is utterly nonsense . You have the right to belive anything from your religion but don't forget there are pple beliving in other religion which may also classify yours as evil too . Everything in this world works both ways . You don't own the world either .

The threadstarter friend is not alone. There r many people here who view dragon as something undesirable even when they knew to the chinese it is a auspicious being. In a way it actually implied chinese generally r satanic.
They r people who do not like children to watch harry potter and maybe even final fantasy RPG and lord of the rings where people use magic. They think they r pagans with witchcraft and tat is satanic.
There r just too many people who r too dogmatic. I think in future maybe dragon will become a taboo word and people who use dragon as a logo is gonna get boycott like Lindt chocolates
