    • Hi guys,

I'm thinking of doing some voluntary work at the local autistic centers but worry that I may not be able to handle the children, anyone here got experience?

There is a Singapore Autism School in Jurong...opposite Lakeside MRT...beside Yuan Ching Secondary School...U can go down and seek advice.

Thanks for the warning, cause I think I'm  good with children since my mum is a nanny for a girl, but of course she's normal...but I wooried that autistic children may upset me emotionally..sigh

    • dealing with children with autism (notice i said children with autism , and not autistic children) is totally not the same with dealing with normal children .

please do not make it worse for them . they need professional help , and not people with no experience whatsoever trying to help them .

if you're really sincere , at least learn something about autism itself . no empty talk .
