anybody tried walking into any shops or fashion retail store at town area and ask if they hiring?
???? whats wrong with that ?
usually only ask if they have posted vacancy on their entrance
i mean if the shop nv advertise leh.. got just walk in and ask also? i mean it's like no harm trying right? but i dare not leh :(
can ask .. nothing wrong what. i know will feel paiseh .. maybe if hot girl inside i think you just really want to work but dont dare only

no harm asking, but chances quite slim if you don't have contacts to intro you.. unless they have notice pasted on shopfront requesting to hire ppl

i got tried before at neighbourhood handphone shop once, and the auntie actually gave me forms and asked me to go for 2nd interview.

yeah, i was surprised too, because it's a "mom-and-pop" kind of shop in bedok central with those beng-beng provision shops that kind.....and they still got forms to fill up. very shocking.

I think they do. Couple of times in my work place, people just walk in with their portfolio asking whether we are hiring.
It's amazing how determined they are in looking for jobs and here we are throwing away this position and that.
i asked before at topma and hmv, hmv was hiring, i was offered @ topman but i found another paying more
