the thing i don't understand is why japan got bullet train shinkasen while SG only has MRT?
from what i know, bullet train's speed is very fast, like up to 300 - 400++ kph.

Singapore so small. Where got space to build one...I've heard that they are planning to build a smillar thing linking from Singapore/JB to KL though.

Wah lau. Japan how big, Singapore how big? Even if we have bullet train, before the train can reach a decent speed, have to slow down to stop at next station liao.
Even if you want one linking Singapore and Malaysia, then you go ask KTM whether they willing to invest in one or not lor... Looking at the state of KTM's stations, tracks, etc, think it's still a long long way to go.

like that better, then we can reach Pasir Ris from Jurong East in 20 mins or much lesser.
