Hi, I,m runnig a small retail store sellimg tibits and soft drinks. Recently while i was re stocking my drinks , i discovered 4 deformed cans of coke at the bottom. I ordered my drink through a 3rd party supplier, so i contacted him to get him to do a 1 for 1 exchange with F&N. To my disgust, F&N rejected to do the swap and sent me a letter stating that they had a new policy which stops us from echanging for goods when there are faults. They blame us for mishandling the goods and has therefore made their cost of business escalate. They oso said that we should check for faults when the goods come in. HOW ARE WE GOING TO CHECK EACH CAN FOR DEFORMS OR FAULT WHEN AN ORDER CAN HAVE 10 TO 20 CARTONS OF DRINKS AND WHO IS GOING TO PAY THE EXTRA COST FOR DOING IT!! Further more , they said that the deforms was caused by our mishandling, but if thats true , y onli 4 cans out of a carton of 24, shouldn't all 24 have the same problem. Now it seems to me that they are just try to push all the extra costs due to bad manufacturing to us. They can slot in a few spoilt cans and hope that we do not find out early enough to render for exchange and after that will refuse us for exchange. This is y they can grow bigger and us as retailer will suffer and die off. There are plenty more different types of drinks out there which can easily replace F&N products off the shelves. I have attached the pic of the cans and the letter. I dare ask if anyone dare to drink from those cans. What if the deform is due to excess gas pumped in during manufacturing or some other unknown causes.

You'll have better chances receiving official feedbacks from F&N if you STOMP it and make it known to the whole Singapore

woah,i didnt even bother reading it
Exchange with the supplier cannot?
If I buy from NTUC Fairprice and find some deformed cans in the carton, I will go back to NTUC Fairprice, not to the manufacturers.

x2
Most probably it is a case of mishandling during transportation not during the manufacturing stages.
I think as you should have check your goods by doing a random quality check on the can surface for any dent or leakage before acceptance.
Should you happen to spot the 4 deformed cans first then you have the right to reject the entire carton(depends on company policy). Afterwhich, you would have to count your blessing that you get all 100% good cans.
eh... it's a recent new policy but as far as I know it's expired drinks only...
