    • ...based on "observations".

If you complain about everything under the sun, think you're God's gift to the world but wonder why foreigners seem more attractive than you, and generally think your lot is the shittiest around...

      - Take yourselves less seriously FFS - it takes bigger balls to do that. And no-one likes a wanker.

      - Demand only as much as you're willing to give. Don't expect an intelligent lass to entertain you if you can't move away from rambling about your gadgets. And if you want her to do you like a porn star, at least mow your lawn like one.

      - Your mum won't be with you forever but her happiness isn't always everyone's either.

      - Lose your hang-ups about marrying upwards, marrying non-Asians, visiting places frequented by expats, befriending homosexuals and talking about less-than-masculine topics objectively, and you might learn a thing or two.

      - Whine, bitch and NATO less and move your arse. It's applicable whether you're talking about girls, foreign workers, school or politics. Pick on the specifics of those, rant about the right things. Start thinking critically instead of rehasing the same old arguments, and you might actually come across as 'refreshing'.

And away with the excuses, drama queens! Do something about your lot for yourselves for once.

      - If you can't stop seeing couplehood as the Holy Grail, and as a result come across as a bumbling, maladjusted desperado who hasn't been weened, a mallet to the groin will do yourself and society plenty of good.

      - Lastly, if you have been offended in any way, refer back to the first point.

    • i am totally disgusted with our local men... some experience recalls:

      1. i was holding the door for my mum to go thru at tangs; two well-dressed men followed my mom and walked thru with me still holding the door. they didnt even turn to thank me. talk about gift of god.

      2. i was on the bus; an old auntie came up, granted she was slow... 3 uni-age chaps pushed past her and caused her to fall forward. one of the chaps went on to grab the courtesy seat meant for elderly/pregnant ladies.

      3. i was with my sis who was 6 mth pregnant on the MRT. nobody gave up seats for her and all the courtesy seat occupiers (all happen to be our male gender and in their 20-30's) were all in a dormant state with their eyes shut.

you can't blame me for dating my ang-moh boyfriend who is funnier, civilised, holds doors for me, plays with my nephews, doesnt mind spending time with my family, cooks for me (and i wash the dishes cos I can't cook). But I dont let him carry my handbag no matter how heavy it gets.

This is very very common. Even in the university.

Not all local men are that terrible

I have met local men who would snatch a seat with a pregnant woman on the MRT icon_rolleyes.gif and I have met local men who offers the empty seat to a lady who is not pregnant instead of plonking down on it immediately.

I've also met local men who act like barbarians and also those who give way and stop to help the elderly.

I've also met local  men who are irresponsible pricks who seriously should not be even called a man and also local men who are responsible and cherish their gf/wife.

There will always be the black sheep amongst the flock.

Sadly, some guys can mug and score very good grades, but don't have the EQ to even flush the toilet when they're done. Would you trust them to set their lives in order, or play their part in a relationship?

    • Have you all ever wondered that its just a Singaporean behaviour? Just that when a local gal does it, people tend to overlook it because "nahmind la, she girl, give chance and dun fite la".

Most of the times when I'm on a train, and an elderly board it, the person who always gave up their seats is a male from what I observe. The females in the same carriage will give that accusing look "knn! you all boy you all give la, i girl my bag so heavy why i mus give?"

    • In short, it's called EVOLUTION.

      No Men/Women are born EQUAL.

So, whoever is capable enough to get his/her other half is ranked higher than those who couldn't.

It's life, survivor of the fittest. No room for losers.

Losers can all please queue up and form one super long line to the Aunt Agony forum please..................

    • bleah. i think girls who date ang mo guys are just giving excuses to make themselves sound righteous la. it's nothing to do with them being more gentlemanly or that they spend time playing with kids, or they hold doors for people.

i seriously think it's more to do with the ego. if i date an ang mo chick i also feel good about myself, you know? it's that sense of satisfaction that your value has gone up.
