anyway coldzero, i think you shld get a mp3 instead. sound system/quality, mp3 is betterthe mp3 might just "walk away" without TS even knowing it..
anyway, I suggested mp3 is because I'm sure TS wouldn't want to drain his mobile phone battery that fast..

I dunno, Samsung is very forward sounding and lacks details. You get tired easily. If you wanna listen for a long time without fatigue, choose those that the sound is laid back, like it's at the back of your head.
Sony is one of those that sounded like the music came from the back of your head.
Creative is close but not as good and not as much details.
Apple is neutral, not at the front not laid back either. Details also not superb.
Added: My personal opinion.

oook..sometimes the earphones or headphones affects the sound quality as well. Last time i bought a cheapo ear piece from pasar malam then the sound quality like crap,i dunno how to say..its like too clear and sometimes sharp and lack details. But now i use a headphone from audio tech then better :D

I got a Creative Zen recently, and it definitely does not last for 25 hours.
You can NEVER reach the stated battery life. To understand why, this is what manufacturers do to test the battery life of their MP3 players:
1) Put songs into a playlist.
2) Played repeatedly without shuffle.
3) If possible to off backlight, it's switched off.
4) No EQ.
5) No skipping of tracks, just dump it there and let it play.
Reason why you can never achieve the stated battery life is simple. You'll definitely use the backlight, and you'll probably be skipping tracks or using shuffle function. All these consume more power. And if EQ is switched on, even worse.
