Are there any reference which says that it's Korean culture to slam doors?
Well, my neighbour is a Korean family who slams door whenever they come home, even at midnight 1am.
I was not affected, but it annoyed my parents.
Why not just ask your Korean neighbour?
Added: Or watch some Korean dramas and see whether the actors/actresses slam the doors in the drama.
i only know korean women like to pull each other's hair when fighting
花 house the door is sliding one leh
and they like to scream.
And they like to scold people è‡ä¸«å¤´ (from drama).
Anyone answer my question?
korean got that kimchi culture, actually in korea, they use sliding door, but due to cold weather, most of the doors are stuck, so most have to pull hard to slid it close, therefore when it come to singapore open and close door type, they still cannot take away the habit of closing it hard, to them, it is not slam, it is closing it hard.

Korean are fierce pples, they dun hv much courtesy as the jap and we do, they are rough pples, they can go riot, fighting and shouting as normal as we chit chatting here.
Another thing is that they are very co-operative among themselves, they protect themselves within their own gangs very well. We are more individualistic, that is where we lose out.
Once in America, i was having lunch and a group of korean tourists came in and occupied my good seat like nothing is happening, then i went to the toilet, omg, they take turns and make sure all of their gang who need go toilet get in first before i get a chance. Rude and selfish they might be, but i admired their team work.

How you know you live in korea before? Koreans are tough people on the outside they are very direct but they have good hearts once they get to know you better. What's the point of being civilise on the outside and then stab people in the back (Japanese & Chinese culture)?

How you know, u ninja from japan? hello ninji, i didn't mention about inside hearts hor. I never said anything bad about them, it is their way of life, whatever inside, i can't see, that is up to you to say. Exchanged program with them during secondary 2 holidays for a month, me stayed with one of the family for a month, then this pretty korean gal came to stay with me at my joo chiat place for a month too. She told me about their culture and i ate with them, do daily chore with them, no maid.
In here, she very happy, cos got our maids to clean for her mah, then i bring her to geyland and joo chiat to see the red light district, she got a shock of her life.
There's a diff between North Koreans and South Koreans.
South Koreans are more refined. They are civic-minded, gracious, hygenic and orderly, unlike most S'poreans. If a seat or table is reserved, they will never take it, or even flash a wad of notes (thinking that money talks) just to get the seat/table.
North Koreans are more chor lor. The N. Koreans will sit with one leg up like ah beng.
it doesn't mean that if a person slams the door it must be related to their culture
tons of people slam doors fyi, i do, and im a singaporean.

I clean toilet in USA and Canada for 4 years,In latin America for 2 years,South Korea for 1 year. Now in Japan shake leg and irritate people in Sgforums>LOL
If you think I really clean toilets then you must be crazy.
i'm korean (look at my last name lol) and slamming doors is rude. if i did that in my parents house when i was young i'd be smacked (seriously) its still an expression of anger/frustration (after a bad day at work) or usually after a fight so your neighbors must fight alot. there's no thing in our culture that makes it okay to slam doors, and we dont use sliding doors that was like 10-20 yrs ago =P
gamsa hamida!
gamsa ham-nida lol
its more of a bad habit instead of culture.
