water that is too pure will remove the trace elements your body needs

Waste of money.
And such things remove chlorine. Believe me, regardless of what they say, you don't want to remove the chlorine in the water. Otherwise, if you leave the water to stand in a bottle, bacteria may well accumulate without the chlorine to kill it.
And if they say things like how the filter can 'shrink' the water molecules or 'break them down into smaller sizes', stay well away from such products. That's pseudoscience, pure and simple.
Bottom line? Our tap water already exceeds WHO standards for potability. So seriously, why do you need a water filter?

As many posters have said, there is no need for a water purifier in Singapore. The water is safe to drink from the tap. (I know I am in the water industry!) Save your money for something else
If you have even the slightest problem, call PUB and they will come to investigate, they take the water quality thing very seriously.

chlorine kills bacteriaprocess of getting dirt in water to lump together is called flocculation and it involves adding metal hydroxides or hydroxychlorides
