I was reading Gen Y commenting on work life after their uni graduation.
I ran across a interesting comment from a lady that is doing her post graduate in law at University College London.
She is saying that she is expecting her secretary to perform all the grunt work like photo-copying, admin arrangement for meeting after she graduated.
She is expecting to HAVE a secretary to handle all these grunt work.
She expects that her given work will requires the skills of a graduate.
She want her skills to be optimally utilised.
I found her comments funny as the local work scene would expect you to be performing the grunt work plus the graduate work for one person pay.
So, I was wondering whether her expectations and real work situation really tally or this is the common expectations for the existing batch of undergraduates ????

I think .... if she's expecting a secretary ... to only look for a job in Singapore .... or other asian countries ......
with the kind of wage structures in places like london ........ you think a fresh grad, even a post grad like her will rate a secretary from her company ? ....
dream on girl ... fetch your own coffee ...

There’s always people around with an over inflated ego and unrealistic expectations.
The OP’s story reminds me of a case a few years ago of a Korean lady in the US (surname Kim, I think) who had a personal email that she wrote to a few friends, forwarded around the world, where she basically said the guy she dated had no chance as he didnt have what Singaporeans call the 5 C’s (or is it 6 or 7 these days?
) The worldwide response was that she was a
materialsitic slut.In an ironic twist, in the ensuing aftermath, she was seduced by a guy who had absolutely none of the 5 (or 6 or 7) C’s.
You see, everyone was laying into her, and this guy saw his opportunity to stand out and did the opposite, writing emails supporting her and telling her what she wanted to hear. She fell for him and quickly did the naughty before he stopped seeing her.
I’d pay good money to have learn his skills

Today I was asked by a techie (she's a pampered foreign princess who copies codes from the team mates and calls them her own and dating the boss) to setup a projector for her. I wonder where in my title has the word SINGAPOREAN LABOURER found. So i told her, there is only 1 cable to plug in. I didn't wanna move my arse cause I was damn having PMS. Besides, getting intimate with the boss don't mean that the colleagues automatically becomes slaves for her beck and call. I will challenge her if reports that to our boss. I will go to the top level if i have to.

if a man doesn't have no car, cash, credit cards, condo, country club or even career ......
I suppose he still can score if he has one last thing ............. a big ......
of course, a study concluded that korean men are the smallest in that department in asia .... so I guess most anyone of us could have scored with her ? ....
