Same here. And their way of asking donation was getting more sneaky. They went one big round first getting your guards down then suddenly sprang the donation form or something similar like that to you. Totally unethical

yeah. on a personal note, i do feel that there should be adequate transparency so that the public trust is won again. i dont want my money to be used for someone's golden toilet seat.

actually I've did some research APCO does represent some charities although they are not one themselves. A miscom? probably just trying to raise the fund for the charity. that said I'll advise to donate directly instead, no point letting them skim off some commission from your donations.

MLM. No wait, what's the new term they use? Network Marketing. Want to donate donate directly to an organisation of your choice, why give all these NM companies a cut of your hard earned money?

I hear some organizations actually farm out their fund raising activities to private companies now ...
so better open eyes wide wide before taking out your wallet ....
better yet ... instead of donating at fund-raisers, send a personal cheque ...
