Later, in the evening, I'm going attend the funeral service of a friend's child. That old friend, lost his firstborn just 3 years ago, and now he suffers the loss of his second. As prudent as I think I am, I'm really at a loss of words.
Some people try so hard to concieve, others don't even give a shit 'bout the new life that is in them. Sigh.

I feel so sorry for your friend. How old was the child? Was it an accident or sickness?

Child was almost 2, was a sickness - I'm not sure of the details -

for genetic problem:
no health detection during the ultrasound scan during pregnancy time?
is the mother "FFI cleared" for pregnancy? is the father too?
for sickness:
since birth? chronic? or acute type? -

Got back from the funeral service not long ago, my friend's wife was grieving so hard, she totally broke down. I just sat quietly in a corner, observing, and saying a word of prayer.
When I finally walked over to my friend, I saw so much sorrow in his eyes... It's like "I'm so frigging sad, but I must contain my emotions, so I can keep the whole thing running and give my wife my support"
