I went around still seeing Singapore Flag being place outside houses. National Celebration is over... Time to keep those Flags!
Under the Singapore flag rules - Display of Flag outside buildings
(1) When the Flag is displayed outside a building, it shall be displayed on or in front of the building.
(2) At any time other than during the period referred to in paragraph (3), when the Flag is displayed outside a building or in an open space —
(a) it shall be flown from a flagpole; and
(b) it shall not be flown at night unless it is properly illuminated.
(3) At any time during the period starting from 1st August and ending on 31st August of each year, when the Flag is displayed outside a building or in an open space —
(a) it may, but need not, be flown from a flagpole; and
(b) it may be displayed at night without being properly illuminated.
Its an Offense to continue flying it.

Flying the flag to show your patriotism to your country is only done once a year in the month of August.
They have rules you know. ![]()
Then again, it would look really stupid on the authorities if they arrest or charge someone who didn't follow the rules and continued hanging the flag. ![]()
If singapore police so free to catch all this offender, why dont they just go to geylang and catch some illegal pros.
catch these offenders easier to get money
catching pros need ambush, so can catch the pimps too... but unless someone complain, no one will penalise you for being flying a flag.
Dun hang the flag, pple tok..hang the flag, pple oso tok.

best is dun hang.
1) will not get fine if you leave it out too long.
2) save you the effort of hanging it up in the first place.
3) save you the effort of taking it down.

Do you think the police would actually arrest anyone for hanging the flag out?
Do you think anyone would dare to prosecute?
Do you think any judge would want to preside?
nowadays my neighbourhood like 95% dont bother to hang liao
I'll bet there aren't any rules against hanging a flag bearing the PAP party logo year-round. ![]()

Heh, try flying an opposition banner and see what happens?
put will die?
after national day, singapore transform to malaysia meh?
we have oredi transformed into china
Those grassroot leaders go around encouraging residents to put up their flags but did not encourage them to remove the flags after 31 August.
Others waiting till they have to chance to fly it at half...
Flag at half mast usually means someone important has died right?
