Good salon/barber for males?

Hey, I'm looking for a recommendation of a good salon/barber for me (young male adult). I have been going to my neighbourhood barber for many months now but am sick and tired of how he always manages to get something wrong and gives me a horrible haircut. I'm willing to pay up to $30. I have short hair and ideally would like a new hairstyle, but have no idea where to go for a creative, proficient and friendly stylist. I once heard there's a place in Rocky Square that's quite famous - has anyone else heard of this?
I live in the Marine Parade area btw, so somewhere near or in town will be ideal.

Silver Combs at Katong Shopping Centre..it's at the ground floor..cut by an auntie with blonde hair and purple streaks...$12 per cut...very professional..last time hairdresser at many top salons...
