It's a simple question intended both to the foreign talents working and residing in Singapore and to Singapore citizens.
Are you happy living in Singapore?
What do you like about living in Singapore and what things that you don't like about.
What changes do you think are required to make you happier living on the island?
Have things improved over the decade? Are you happier now than a decade ago?
ok loh..
me not geh gao one lah
知足常
very very happy :'(
i was happier a decade ago. it was the golden age of singapore 1970s-2000 economic boom. All was good till the cumulative effect of the 1980s and 1997 and 2001 economic recession hits us
Btw foreign talent are also not happy in singapore. no one is. But try to think this way. Your friendss, family and everyone here. Life is worth fighting for them, not PAP. i spent a few years overseas and realise this.
But now i am overseas too. There is generally a feeling of homesickness. Singpore belongs to all of us. Not Pap. We are the driving force of the nation whether its politcial, economic, security or social.
Well.. not too bad.. satisfied.. ä¹ æƒ¯å°±å¥½... ![]()
singapore is not a bad place if
1) u already own a home like eg. in inherited from ancestors
2) stable job in civil service
3) in good health
thats all..
Of Course happy la.
Can go out without the slightest worry of getting shot to death.
ok lah quite happy lah
seriously, no
Happy now as long as it lasts.
no way.....
this is a good question and good topic, i believe when you could always do what i want, my right will not be hindered, i will be happy, good family good relationship
If you've posted this question a few years ago, I'd had readily said yes. However, having been to many continents and numerous countries, I've found myself less immersed in Singapore's 'unique' way of life.
To be honest, multi-racialism isn't really that rare. It doesn't only pertain to Singapore only, either. In Los Angeles, Perth, Toronto, one'd also be able to see similar sights.
After having experienced life in other countries, I've grown to like the vast plains of Arizona, the beautiful Huntington Beach in Los Angeles, the magnificent waters of Perth Australlia, the metropolitan city of Hong Kong, Japan's rich culture...
We're not as modern as Japan, Shang Hai or Hong Kong. Neither do we have natural wonders. Our culture isn't supremely rich nor is it insignificant enough to be nonexistent.
We're just halfway in between.
So now, I'd say no.

I totally agree with you. Other parts of the world are in fact more culturally and socially diverse.
the only thing that u can find in singapore as unique is the "Police State City".

You are right.
Some people like to point fingers at others for their own failures.
