Because by the time you are 45, your kid will be old enough to support you and you can retire.

i dun think it has anything to do with age but rather.. whether u are ready, is there someone u want to spend the rest of ur life with and financial stability lo..

agress w bbb... sometimes, it`s the person tat makes u wanna get married if one`s getting married cuz of age, then many other factors might be neglected, resulting in less than perfect marriages...

My ideal,
between 26 --> 28 get Married (by then financial quite stable, at least earning an income.)
2-3 yr of couple honeymoon period (save $ at the same time)
30 --> have ur first born child.
by then, everything flow smoothly. when you are 50, ur child is Ns liao, no need worry, can retire.
of cos, if u can afford it, start a family early. if not later u 60, ur kid still schooling.. den that's terrible..

Yup this is my ideal thinking too.... can push forward 1-2 years if everything goes well..

count me in, i agree with this too.25 for me though.. i don't think the process of "settling" down is that easy right? quite a lot of things to do.

to settle before 30 is more realistic.
i am talking about financially of course. than again, if your parents rich, that won't be a problem.
