In fact 2 Hotel Malaysia, the first was later renamed Marco Polo and the 2nd was renamed Boulevard.
The big saga at the stock market over the sales of Hotel Malaysia and Ming Court Hotel that caused the 1981 stock crash.

No the tallest was Cathay Building followed later by Asia Assurance Building in the 50s.

Ok,so one of my uncles bluffed me. Asia Insurance Building is now a Hotel? Hey if you have any old pictures of buildings and streets please share them with the rest of Singapore here.People need to go to musuem these days for that and cost money some more>LOL.Thanks

Convert to hotel now. No so many pics lah, some got throw out long time ago when I moved. Only a box left mostly faces so not interesting to public.

Used to burn pictures just for fun when I was a kid made my dad really angry as he loves taking pics.Still have a lot in Singapore but they are now kept by my sister. -

Katong SS was one of the 7 wonders of Singapore.Till now I am still wondering why it was so empty all the that time
