My friend told me at school that he broke up after 8 months. Nothing unusual? He broke up last Sunday after the first time he met with his gf. You see, he has been in this relationship for about 8 months since knowing her through irc. Well, he is a quite fat and not so good looking guy while she, according to him, looks like a model and would be any trophy girlfriend for any guy. When they met up for the first time at Somerset, he told me that after identifying each other, she went straight to my friend's fae and told him that she doesn't like the way he looks and immediately told him to part off.
My question to the floor is..
If you have an online relationship and if ur expectations are not met when you meet... would you break off? By the way, he is not the only one i know.. i got other friends like that..

Didnt reali happen like this lor...Mine was got happy also got sad happenings....cos im fat n ugly as well...but my ex was good lor...we never went stead though we like each other alot...but we only agreed tat we will consider to be couple unless we reali meet up each other..end up meet liao,i send her home..she call me..we chatted...was quite happy wif each other looks...then next day..i suggest meeting again...and b4 we meet,i already ask her to be my gf..she agreed....
Its not the matter of looks...It matters of gan jue and also the kan de shun yan lor..
Got also one girl,we chat a lot...then she say shes in love wif my voice,but i say lets meet then say,told her i was fat n ugly,but she say nvrmind..end up meet liao..she keep suaning me becos of fatness and also do alot of those stupid fat jokes and all..watever happen to the feelings she gave me when we nvr meet...?
Sometimes not meeting is a blessing too.....Me hope this doesnt happen to me again...so one note of advice...dun ever go stead wif anyone b4 meeting..nothing will turn out good... -

Hmm... never have this kinda thing happen to me b4.. usually is meet liao then chatted then develop feelings... But i do have a fren who went steady with this guy after talking a couple of times on the phone..somemore is overseas call..So when this guy came back and they finally met... he totally rejected her face to face.. From what i know is that the guy feels that she is not pretty enough..
I think this kinda thing happens vice visa... doesnt mean guys gets rejected only... -

maybe i a bit biased or wad..but sometimes..when gers say that she is fat n ugly...the guys always think that..aiya..mai k k lah..must be pretty then always say fat n ugly..those kind of stuff...den when meet liao..dun turn out to be what he expected..he won't contact the ger anymore....but how the ger look..also not within her control mah...not say she lie to you in the first place..but she told u..just tht u dun believe loh -

think many of us have different characters online and offline, well... in regardless of looks.
I used to meet up ppl tat I noe online, and tat only happens when I first got my current com. I too have experience the above mentioned, before I finally decided to go on a crash diet, cum exercise course.
From personal experience, I've learnt not to get too involved with the frens I noe online, esp not in e matters of e heart. Got hurt too badly due to pure innocent and stupidity... (at tat I mean...)
Maybe if I have noe to keep my distance right from beginning, I'd have save myself e pain...??? -

Look is still the first thing tat pple will consider in the first meeting. Some are just too frank, to the verge of hurting too.
So please be more discreet... drop hints first, and if still cannot, well, a blunt opinion is warranted...sometimes
