What happened to the kids these days?

It's not wrong being a kid.But there's always a limite to everything....They can play anywhere like acades, playgrounds, parks and school. But in the MRTs, buses, in the busy lanes of Orchard Rd,that doesn't make sense...Originally posted by nismoS132:what's wrong with kids being kids?

There's should be a balance between the parents and the kid. But being a adult,they should hold responsiblity of their kids.
As a parent,they should know when is a time for play and relax,and when is a time to be serious. It's part and parcel of our social skills.
Parents should know how stressful being a kid due to pressure in school by teachers and peers. (Let's just dump the degree of their curricular standards aside)Giving tuition is a solution to buck up their studies and to maintain a levelled standards. Not just to be the MOST clever and the brightest kid of the whole school.
When it comes to play,let the kids do it in a way that it's not going to irriate and of a nuisance to ours.Key word:Consideration for others citizens. (Picture a grand hotel lobby having kids playing around.) 
Discipline comes hand in hand with manners.Teach the kids in a sensible way,rather than shouting at them in public.Not only will you be the center of attraction,so is the kid.Spare a thought for the kid;he's just a kid....
Explaining patiently to the kid,show them examples and telling them logic.(Monkey see,monkey do theory)

I dunno, I myself have no problem with kids playing in public places, as long as they don't do anything that endangers safety, I jolly well say we should let them have a good time, that's what going out and living your childhood is all about anyway.
I mean when you are old, I would rather remember that I had a fufilling childhood then one that's spent hours infront of a computer of playing in LAN shops and arcades. -
