  Iranian Ladan Bijani died on Tuesday shortly after an operation to separate her from her twin sister, hospital officials announced.
  
  The conjoined twins, Laleh and Ladan, were earlier separated at about 2.30pm on Tuesday.
  
  But Raffles Hospital spokesperson Prem Kumar Nair said both had lost a lot of blood and are in critical condition.
  
  He said two teams of doctors were trying to stabilise them.
  
  Dr Nair told the waiting media to pray hard for them.
  
  Dr Nair said: "I have just been informed that Laleh and Ladan have been separated just a short while ago. However, they have both lost a lot of blood and are actually in a critical state. Ladan more than Laleh.
  
  "So there are two teams of doctors in the operating theatre that are trying very hard to stabilise them.
  
  "I have just been given the news and I do not have any further information. But I'll try and come back to you with some information as soon as I can. Please pray very hard for them."

  yah..laden was the most outspoken one..she's very brave..she even coaxed her sister not to be afraid..

  Its real sad to know one had died...they were brave enough to pursue a life separately after being together for 29 years...i think thats very courageous because they knew death is waiting for them anytime...hope the other will survive to be a living example of courage..

  so dangerous.. since been stuck tgether for so long.. might as well continue to live......
  if wana separate, shd do it since young ma... at least nt so painful, n who noes, brain might b smaller.. easier to cut open...
