Sentosa Holiday Chalets suck!

I recently booked a Sentosa holiday chalet and completlely regreted it. Please do not...i repeat do not book the Sentosa Holiday chalets under any circumstances....
What you see on the internet is a far cry to what you actually get. In fact, to sum it up in one word, the place is a dump.
1. The floor was so sticky i had to mop it b4 my guests arrived.
2. The price for a 12-bedder cost an astonishing S$208/-!
3. The list of items i was given included a VCR among other things. I was not given one and there was no effort by the staff to provide a replacement during my stay despite my bringing the matter to the duty staff. In fact half the bed sheets were dirty after they were supposedly clean and packed!
4. The BBQ pit was in such a state of filth that i was glad i ordered catered food instead of BBQ food.
5. The chalet that was given to me stated an isolated block by itself. I was indeed given a single chalet blk without other sentosa holiday chalets adjacent. Instead i had the people's association chalets joined to my unit!
There is apparenly alot of misrepresentation on their website prior ot my renting the unit. While i did not expect the holiday inn crown plaza standard, i was at least expecting a clean place to stay.
The dejected look of the place summed it up so much i actually stood outside the chalet wondering if i'd been conned.
Though they claim they're doing a face lift soon, i doubt so much as a paint job by their administration.

Actually the civil service chalets at changi are the best.
You can rent a double storey bungelow for 120 bucks for 3-4 days. Imagine that! The catch is of course you have to pay for daily electricity and water charges, which on the whole dun come up to so much.
And it's CLEAN! with it's own amenities etc etc clearly a bargain and a fantastic one....no doubt -

i like the PA chalets at sentosa.
$30 for 3 days. beat that. -
hmm...i been to that one, not as bad as you mentioned. i was told the chalets are good. hmmm i think u suay to get such a bad room.... checked the price. for a 12 bedder chalet this is consider cheap and to have facilities like vcr and stuff. well.... i think that was a really isolated block......

i stayed at gov chalets several times and i think it's great!
yeah 120 for 3days 2 nights.
pay for water + elec

1. It was supposedly an isolated unit
2. It has one additional bathroom compared to all the other chalets.
Either the roosters and peacocks shitted all over my chalet or i ended up with a really poor deal.
Whatever the case, what i saw and what was displayed on the website screams bloody mis-representation. I am disappointed that ppl would market a product in that manner knowing that it needs a desperate renovation. -
I went there during OC.
It was'nt really that impressive.But it offers a lot of free space.
