    • A terrible tragedy!

This only serves to highlight the rising racism in Sidney, Australia. I can't believe that extortionism and kidnapping is rampant in Sidney and the police there are incapable of bringing the culprits to justice.

I seriously wonder if they will find the killers and soon.

    • when the place starts being run like a corporation (worse than now) and people are totally disregarded and treated worse than chattel and ignored..

when everyone's sprinting to stand still...

when the stress level goes from intolerable to sheer murder..

where children lose everything of their childhood because they have to beat everyone else...

when everyone becomes automatrons and cogs for the industrial machine that is termed "Sg Inc"

      huh? nvm

Anyway, i've been told sidney residents are a terrible lot by numerous frens who visit the place. The locals aren't friendly or warm, many instances of racism (spitting, name-calling etc)

Comparisons to melbourne show a stark contrast. At this rate of decline, Sidney needs martial law man...

    • it is.. if i do go there.. i'd settle in Melbourne...

frankly, some of the immigrants there spoil it for the peaceful and productive majority..

    • Hi ppl,

i am feeling so upset now. one of the deceased is apparently my best fren's elder brother.. i have to say that it is a total tragedy and my fren's mother is still unable to face up with the news.. she lost her beloved son overnight. in fact, they were not even informed by the police from aussie and singapore, but instead they couldnt contact the deceased and read about the news, and realised that the murder took place at the deceased's residence. they went to the embassy and only then they can confirm the identity just few hours ago..

haiz... i know him personally, just a nice man, with a bright future and is even married.. y???????????????????????? life is too unpredictable..

i just hope that the family of both deceased can get over it soon... Sad

    • Apparently asian targetted crimes have been on the rise in sydney. A couple of wks back, a vietnamese student was kidnapped and break ins in the surrounding suburbs ard the uni have been high. 2 classmates of mine have just had their houses broken into.

With respects to the case...the police here have also been playing it close to their chests. Not much on the news and papers(or at least i have read), only a press conference revealing that their are on the case. No names, no motive, no disclosure on cause of death, basically clueless.....

      Damn...

southwest wales uni.. lmao.. it's university of new south wales

ANyway, i'm kinda nervous abt going there next year now, I plan to go to UNSW because my sis is there and my dad even graduated frm there too, a longg time ago. Praying for my sis to be safe..

It's so sad that they are targetting Asians. Lucikly I'm australian, so maybe I'm in half as much danger. =P ~~ I hate racists!! Grrr..

But, in their defence, the majority of the ppl there are very warm and friendly. Anyone who's been to oz can surely testify that they are definitely more friendly than s'poreans.

      My condolences to their familes..
