i go to Reds @ Parco Bugis Junction. My hairsytlist is Keith..i think he's a really great guy...charming and i think he can really cut nice feminine hairstyles, esp long hair...
i normally have a cut and wash and blow which costs $30 after nus student discount...had a colour treatment and highlighting there once...and i dun think i will do it again...too ex for me...so now i have resorted to going to cheapo neighbourhood salons to colour my hair!

The most expensive hair cut I ever had was $20.... wah that time really really heart ache.... I rather go to those neighbourhood one.. hehe...... cheap..

Kimage at CCK. Been there for the past 3+ years. VIP card holder. Spend $300 within a year to get one, and after dat, $500 every 2 years to renew it. Privilege 20% discount during off peak hours n 10% during peak hours. My hairstylist is Doris. I'm her GUINEA PIG n her most notti n li seow seow customer. Haircut $30, fringe cut $5, Hair colour $70, highlights $90, Hair dye plus highlights $90, Hair bleach $10 per section, Treatment w/o doing colour $48, wif colur $28. Eh... think dat's all i know. N drinks provided but it's understood dat i dunwan. Me buy coffee from the coffee bean downstairs. Longest waiting time 1+ hr, longest time spent there 6+ hrs. I'm going again 2molo, appointment has been made.

If you want to be *real* cheapo, Selena recommends you to go to Kimage at funan center during weekdays. More than half price by student stylists. Colouring the hair would be like $30 (If i'm not wrong)
Anyway, depends on what you think because you'll be a guinea pig for the students to use. But in case anything wrong happens, the teacher is never far away. -

I've been going to Geraldine Hairworkshop at Katong Plaza for 8 over years. Service is very friendly.
The master hairstylist is Bernard Cornelius Lim. Each hair cut cost $45. He is the chairman for the Hair association in Singapore and is often invited to judge in overseas hair competition. Some of his awards and qualifications:
1) Intercoiffure Diploma;
2) International Award Winner;
3) Order of the Knight (only over 200 hairstylists around the globe have this title);
4) Won the recent Hair World Olympic Judge, beating over 60 countries in that award.
The price for colouring is $280. A bit steep cos they only use the best colouring products from Japan which is non-damaging to the hair. I think it's called Top Model Colouring.
His prices seem high, but among the few hairstylists of his ranks in Singapore, he's actually charging the lowest. Anyway, if you find the price for haircut too steep, his sole disciple/apprentice, Andy, charges $25.
I think mine is the most expensive so far.
Oh yes... for your information, he's also a trichologist. If you don't know what's a tricologist, it's someone trained in the treatment of hair loss. So you can also go to Geraldine to check for any hair loss symptom.

I just went to straighten my hair too.
Different salons got different names for that ironing process. It IS indeed much better than relaxer, ur hair softer. As for how long it will last, it depends on individual.
For the names, they have
- Flat Ironing
- Ionizing
- Flat perm
- Straight Iron
- Rebonding
etc etc....
Check out their prices also. I have called up at least 8 salons for the prices. It range from $200-$400.
Try Kimage or Reds. Their prices is abt the same (ard $200++) and the effect is good.
I went to Francis n Jean. They are having 1/2 price now for their flat ironing for only $150. Only now till christmas!!! -
there is a sudden trend towards relaxing hair or flat ironing..or whatever u call it...i thk its very nice, esp for long hair..
i wanna try, but it sounds so expensive and most of my frens who tried, the effect din last very long, so money wasted...
anyone relaxed their hair, with good results, long lasting results?
