Anyway they decide the punishment will be to give false hopes to the Republic by letting Jia Wei bat her way into the quarter finals and make all the Singaporeans stay glued to the TV, hoping to witness the capture of that elusive Olympic medal, then crashing their hopes.
The Greek Gods took a step further by letting Jia Wei go up 3 - 1 in the semis and even handing the noisy Korean an unprecedented 11 - 0 trashing in the 4th set.. thus propelling the Singaporeans hopes into the stratospheric levels. The Greek Gods love nothing more than to see 4 million Singapore beaming faces crumble in an instant... Sure enough, the Korean grunted her way through a miraculous comeback 4 -3 win, a victory which she don't even believe herself.. little did she know the Greek Gods were behind her for this one..

Morale of the story: there's good and bad here, for sports it's good coz it bring up the standard of that sports.. but must still see which sports and who in charge and if they got a good long term plan.....e.g. badminton and table tennis is good, soccer is a joke, basketball so so... still new...

As for the foreign talent thingy, obviously u are lost in the world of sports (while trying to be an expert in this field). For years the other countries have been taking in foreign talent. Eg. when France won the World Cup soccer, half the team comprised non French nationals....they were originally from Africa.
