Insecurity, greed, and motivation of the self. That's what I would attribute it to.
Imagine this. The girl KNOWS she's hot. She gets incentives from the foolish males who flock to her like sheeps to the slaughter.
Her mentality goes like this. So long as I keep these guys sweet to me, letting them have the conception that I'm ACTUALLY interested in them, pretending that I'm AM interested in them, and them only, and not their competitors, I can wrap them around my little finger, and make all the demands that I want, without them even blinking an eyebrow.
Excuses such as liking both guys is purely nonsensical. It basically just means that she has absolutely no idea what kinda guy she wants, so rather than taking chances, she holds on to both. Its also a way to assuage her own somewhat guilty conscience, not to mention having the double edged effect of making the guys maintaining a false sense of hope.
Its a cheap, free meal and goods ticket. I got manipulated like that for 3 years before I FINALLY recognized the signs I was so blinded to.
But of course, I'm not going to condemn the entire forest, just because I fell off ONE tree. -
Oh yeah, it doesn't mean that guys can't be even worse bastards too. We can, just that most of us choose not to.
