This is the type of education we have ma? Cry after exam..hmm..Can see the stress and expectation of the students?
Personally, I won't cry over results le ba..but it will definitely affect my mood.. -

i know my reaction when i get a tough paper.
coming out of exam hall
me : Farking hard man, purposely make us fail one
my classmates : ya la, knn man
me : at least its over, later football?
my classmates : ok ok wait for the rest to come down first
we proceed to play football and have happy times forever -
come on lah...they r still chewren...if they still cry after taking "oh" levels...then it's a different story....

Some people cry for joy but I got no feelings for papers one.
Fail fail lor, next time try harder. I failed the first time in sec 3 and many times after but I still here ok. My friends all worried after exams when want to get back results but I every night sleep the most during exam period.
You already submitted the paper liao and your exam pass already like you cry can get back anything. Don't cry over spilt milk. Nothing can be done. -

The poor kids have too high expectations for themselves.
They expect perfect scores.
Parents should teach them it is ok if they cannot get As as long as they tried their best. -
Our education system is a flawed one. We still place too much emphasis on academic excellence, ignore the finer things in life and mislead our younger generation into believing that a person who performs poorly in his studies will develop into a 'failure'.
Until our system changes, children will continue to cry...and in larger numbers too. -

In Neil Humphrey Notes from A Smaller Island, he discovered to his horror students cry of relief after getting O or A level results. He didnt realise it was so pressurising, although he himself took A Level before.
The students weaker in mind and heart? Seriously, we cant blame them.
Our older generations modelled this educational system, and our generation only NATO, meaning a lot of us kao peh, but never do much too..
In the end, all this accumulate and become one pile of social problems ,and pressure on our younger generations... -

heard of the grade curve?
you get 70 doesn't mean you will get an A. you could get a B instead. similarly, it could also mean that you can get an A*. it all depends on how the others do also.

after exams we should relaxed n enjoy ourselves to reward for the effort put in for the exams.
at most nervous when u got the result loh, what the point of getting worried after the exam, u can't change anything.. -

We are all humans, and have emotions.
People break down for different reasons. To say we have totally sturdy character is quite untrue, since it can lead to many problems - denial of one's fear, denial of one's weakness, denial of tougher problems out there.
What may be one fear may be someone else strength. One guy may face exams pressure well, some love the challenge of fast sports, which require a lot of motorskills, some just wanna some peace and quiet life.
Considering the pressure of life in Singapore education system sometimes, its no wonder people will even fear getting a B.
