NFDS - The Guide
Nature, Foreground, Detail, and Shape

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

Anyone realise that we're living in a 3 spatial dimensions and 1 dimension of time world?
We cannot perceive what lies in the higher dimensions, just like how an animated sentient object in a 2 spatial dimensions world (think a hypothetical neurologically conscious and intelligent individual drawn on a cardboard trying to visualize our world) would not see/interact with our world and ultimately, us.

If half a quad of petrol costs 1 wozzle, then how many peds of petrol can be bought for 4 simos ?my fren ask me solve.
i have no idea ^^
30 Peds = 1 Gulu8 Gulu = 1 Quad
Therefore: 30 x 8 = 240
240 Peds in 1 Quad
12 Simos = 1 Vell
20 Vells = 1 Wozzle
Therefore: 12 x 20 = 240
240 Simos in 1 Wozzle
0.5quad = 1wozzle
0.5(240) = 240Simos
4 Simos = (120/240) x 4
= 2peds

To survive PBL: Read just enough to get the gist of what the problem is asking you to learn on, then participate on bare minimum during the 1st, 2nd and before the 3rd meeting, do 1 or 2 slides and understand them very clearly and present them as per normal.
To excel PBL: Active participation is a bare minimum, you've got to participate well throughout and be attentive. And for the problem itself you've got to read everything thoroughly and understand everything, do a couple of slides and present them. Ability to answer questions that is not directed at your slides/or what you've presented will be a plus point.
Anyway, you'll learn with time. In year 1 i present chunk loads full of words and nothing but words but gradually i replace them with words and illustrations. It helps alot because facilitators wants to know that you know your stuffs (very evident if you can present illustrations without referring to anything) or just reading out from your slides.

Trust me, not many will want to cut up a fresh organ just to learn anatomy or physio...
In my sec school bio days, we cut a sheep's heart to learn about the heart. A few guys in my class nearly fainted. Haha.
The girls are so enthusiastic...
/me thinks girls can be more evil than guys.
Wow that is so cool man...Unless the Anatomy and Physiology module change curriculum this year to include more live specimen, it won't be that fun + its alot of theories...But maybe they have live specimens in A&P2 but tt one i nvr take so not sure. And I just went to get my graduation photos with frame and discovered to my horror that i actually have Dip in IT and Dip in Biomedical Sciences. >.> Printing error at its best.

I got an indian facilitator i also cannot catch what he said, like angmoh hor, when it comes to the middle of the sentence i will go clueless "huh"?
Like...:"You know..it's just the agavllfasflasflafla.a.fa...that you can think of.."
Haha. Actually i think the whole class seems to understand, cause everyone wants to faster get the lesson over and done with! haha

I think should be due to this reason that we have somehow "abused" the grace period, hence the toopid RP system take away ths privilege of having grace period..I'm guilty of that too. I only come very early during the 1st few weeks of every new semester. After that i will start abusing the grace period, coming in only after 8.40am but before 8.45am.

Yup yup. Just to clarify, quizzes don't count anymore since the 2nd term of Year 2005. Haha.
I was reminiscing on a particular instance of how one of my daily grade got affected because i flunk the quiz. 3/8. Hahaha!!

What i've understood about Air Humidifier is that they increase the humidity of the surrounding vicinity...But i don't see how it would help in reducing dust particles in the air...
In fact, in a humid country like Singapore, unless you're using it in conjunction with an air-conditioner (that tends to reduce the air humidity), it could prove to be detrimental as increased humidity in the air can promote the growth of mold...

Ya! If the students are willing to learn, PBL is really damn effective. And i think the curriculum wise, quizzes used to be counted in the daily grading, and it should because nowadays quizzes people don't really take it seriously. haha.
I remembered getting a B for Communications Problem 3 or 4 that listening one. Angmoh speaking, i dun understand and got a lousy score, my faci downgrade me for that. wahaha.

Hahah. You know, my semester 1 was on the right side of block d, my semester 2 was on the left side of block d, in the end for that 1 year i have to climb that two great wall everyday! And yea, i usually ended up in class just in time (lol enterprise) panting heavily. Its not that bad when there's no 8.30 UT cause its my habit to come in just in time but the 8.30 UT screws up my usual routine so must walk faster.
I miss the vegetarian stall in Tanglin campus. And yes, i never ever get sick of Tanglin food but Woodlands one...ahhhh..cannot take it.
Tanglin is more cosy and Town beats CWP any day. haha.

At first, I also thought the same way. But come to think about it, it may not be. All of them can be punctual, but it doesn't mean they will be learning. People's main issues with RP is not just about us being slack and habitually late or whatsoever. Our learning system doesn't really strike a chord with many...
Haha, ya. I agree. Being punctual may not be necessary tied to better learning for many students. But i think the OAA is trying to send out a message like they want the students to be more serious in their learning in RP.And i think ultimately, it is the PBL system that is the root of this "slackness" because you can learn as much as you can or you can learn just as little to get pass the day.
