I called back and ask again put me to another guy fine he said will inform me in another week but end up i called. In the background i could here them giggling and laughing… not that i want to comment…

    • I guess its his mentality, previously how did he get through is IPPT than? somehow he will find someone to train with. Perhaps before his IPPT a month or so train with him or can ask him to bring his friends and like everyone train over the weekends?

I mean this will protray that you are a responsible and proactive OC and you will want him to pass it instead of dragging on. You can also tell him about the concequences of not keeping fit and it will lead to many health problems, etc.

No double working is something that everyone dreads, NS too. It will also be his initiative to keep fit.Why others can but him? No one wants to be slapped with rules but if you have to than i guess.

      OCT is Officer Cadet Trainee;

Its a term to call them before they become full pledge Senior Officers of SPF or any uniform organisation.

Only available one is for degree courses.

Its always the case. You may take 10 years to build a reputation but 1sec to spoil it. People tend to see the bad side of things and not the other. If you are able to think proper don't let it bother you.

If you are currently still under National Service you don't have to. They will only send you for NPCO course in TRACOM if you did that i don't think so. But if you ORD more than 3 years if i'm not wrong than you will have to so called re-take everything like a Trainee. =D

anyways, do SPF have CCAS or something? theres a SPF band right? cool beans.

im in pesBp and my cousin said maybe the overweight people will all be in one squad. thats better i wont feel so inferior.

I am sure you will make friends there as long as you want to. Confidence wise not everyone will have it. It needs to be built up. I remeber once taking the squad for drill thought that i would suck but it turn out fine, even during warm up for my squad i took the squad quite cool. =D

Well not everyone is perfect so don't feel so inferior if someone is fitter that you are some how that idiot has a soft spot somewherE!

      just some questions too...
is a warrant card used in place of 11B for police during NS?
minimum fitness requirement is PES B?

Or in short 11B = Replacement for IC during NS, it is also referred as smart card.

Never heard of any of these in SPF...

Anyway SAF only gives u the bonus after you manage to get another term you serve with them, correct?

Just accept what you got and make use of it as experience. According to my friend u sometimes will see floating dead bodies and II swimming around so getting wet sometimes is normal.

As for other things we just have to take it as a new thing we learn. hearing from what others say may not be the same as what u will gain knowledge or experience.

I agree with you. Does it really matter who we pay compliments to? What matters if you have done what is right and its not something you did wrongly.
If you salute the Commission or SO it shows that you have respect but if he doesn't accepts it than just don't bother. This voice down to the upbringing of a person. So... Why bother of such thing on who to pay compliments and not to right?

I'm posting regarding an incident that happened to me last night that shows how our Police Force is becoming badder. Pls share your honest views.

I was at Serangoon Road for the Deepavali pasar malam with my friend. Then there were cars that were parked at the double yellow line and 2 police officers were issuing tickets. They were police officers not the parking officers nor Traffic Police. So they were standing on the pavement and talking to a lady in the car. Then as there was no place to walk,as on the right the grass was muddy and the had the car, i walked behind them, squeezing my way past. Then i accidentally banged one of them and his papers dropped. I turned around and i said 'Hey very sorry'. Then the police officer just stared at me, he just stared like those gangsters do when they have a problem.

He gave that look and just stared. Then i said sorry again. He just stared angrily. Then he looked down as his papers had fallen and stared back at me. Me and my friend just stood there. Then he asked 'Why must you bang?' I said 'sorry ah not purposely what, i was walking you can see there's no space and why must i bang you?' Then he continued staring. I was angry as well because this was completely absurd. It was a complete accident. I would had happily picked up the papers for him had he not given that f uck face. I mean accidents happen and i had appologised as well.

If you bang into a stranger, even they forget the matter when you said sorry. And here was a police officer, showing off his authority and staring at me and trying to intimidate me. Even his officer seemed shock at what was happening. Then i told him again as he was still staring angrily 'Look i already told you i'm sorry, what more you want, you think i wanna bang you for fun is it?' At that point my friend held me and said 'F uck it la,let's go'.

I mean fine it may be my mistake that i banged accidentally. It was not as if i sent him flying. It was purely accidental. Even strangers tend to smile or walk away. Sigh. Please share your views.

Imagine that you were in his shoes and your papers dropped. Will you be smiling happily. But perhaps the PO over did what he supposed as staring will always cause problems here especially here in SG.

Well just live and let live, forgive and forget. You will be a happier person than bearing grudges.

If you still feel unhappy on this matter just drop a comment to the unit it may make you happier that way.

      Cheers!
