    • i got a rapidshare premium since last year. this is how i do it to lessen the pay cost.

subscribe one month premium 15SGD. use until it expire. wait for 30 days( this is the maximum u can wait upon first day of expire. after that, the account will be non-existant)... when reaching the last day, renew your subscription. for 15SGD, use it until it's expire. wait for 30 days. renew again..

do this until u get 10,000 rapidshare points. with 10,000, u can renew your subcrption for free.

after the account expire, u can dump that account and start a new account with your fresh 8000 premium points

so one cycle cost about 45SGD which can last for 8 months. try to make full use and share the account with other people because you will be given 10GB each day to download.. it will accumulate until 50GB cap if u dont use it. i shared with my bro and another friend. end up paying 15 dollars for 8 months. trustme, its hard to download 300gb/month. your hard disk will be full until u decide to delete movies... ect

best is to share your acct with same service provider people. rapidshare got multiple IP detection thingy. if your friend and u got starhub, the multiple IP detection will not work because starhub is using the same external IP.( which explains why u cannot download from rapidshare as a free user because there's someone download using the same iP)

    • Correct me if i'm wrong.

The CIF is computed as United states ((local deilvery, item cost service charge)).

Vpost, additional 2% is charge for their feright service charge in united states

DHL, shipping service is totally in United states, so full freight shipping amount should be in my CIF.

for comgateway, since the service is in Singapore, means that it is the same as vpost.<---- correct me if i'm wrong

    • since its applicable to all, but vpost calculation states that for eg,

But to what i understand what u guys said, the computation should be

      CIF(fright cost+goods+tax)=S$395+S$50=S$445

      GST= S$445*0.07=31.15

    • HI, lots of qn to ask. SUPER CONFUSING

RE: 7% GSt applies to diff service provider?

lets say, for Vpost, they say that if the items + US local shipping cost +CIF doesn't exceed 400 means no 7% GST. This one is clearcut.

But then when i go to the sigapore custom website, they say :

There is a 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST) levied on all goods, inclusive of new articles, personal effects, souvenirs, gifts, food preparations and dutiable products, imported into Singapore. GST is calculated based on the CIF value of the goods plus all duties payable. If the invoice value of goods does not include insurance and freight charges, the postage charge paid for the goods is to be taken as freight and insurance charges, and is to be added to the invoice value of such invoice for calculation of GST payable.

GST relief is granted on goods, inclusive of new articles, personal effects, souvenirs, gifts and food preparations but excluding dutiable products, imported by post to a total value not exceeding $400. Where the value exceeds $400, the entire sum would be subject to GST.

does it mean that if i ship normally using DHL, i must include the freight shipping cost inside?

for those using comgateway, does it apply the same as vpost?

    • You can get domin cheap. but then what it matters the most is which service provider u bind ur domin with.it boils down to reliability and service.

I can get a free service provider from someone  as advertised just to click a few ad to obtain it.  but who knows? within a month the host will shut its server and u will lose all your data and backups.

Besides, most motherboards require a functional graphics card before a boot-up is even possible

For this i not sure... u may be talking about another type of  mobo. for old motherboards, if the system is ok except for motherboard, the system can boot up. just that either it send no signal to the monitor or send a display of haywired graphics signal to the monitor.

I'm ascribing the cause of the issue to the PSU based on personal experience.

Hey no worries. i know this will also cause this kind of symptom u pictured in your mind. however, still have to wait for TS to answer. he may not mean what u understand from his previous post

hey not necessary u know.If system boot up, totally loaded but monitor doesnt recieve signal thru the cable may be because of falty graphic card, faulty cable, or faulty monitor.

@thread starter, do u hear the Windows XP welcome sound when u boot ur cpu?

sometimes my monitor wont start up too when i switch on my tower, have to restart a few times or many times or leave it alone for hours before they will work together.

      dont get this part

    • i ask u.. how long u expose the underside( the place where there's a black patch) of heatsink. it may not conduct heat well off the cpu anymore which will likely to cause overheat. and also u got gnd urself before touching the chip?
