the next morning, member y made a booking, when he/she went to the vehicle, he/she found the vehicle damaged with big dents and long and deep scratches on the vehicle and he/she reported the damage to cityspeed according to cityspeed, the person reported the damaged b4 he/she activated the booking
so it can b quite obvious that some idiot smashed his/her car into the ciyspeed vehicle aft i ended my booking and b4 menber y activated the booking
from wat cityspeed told me, according to the terms and conditions, since i was the last user, i have to be responsilble for damages... unless i can proof that i did not contribute to the damages. and worst, they only told me dat 1 week aft i ended the booking, how to find proof? wat kind of stupid logic is dat, its really a big loop hole in their terms and conditions
i suggest taht all cityspeed users take photos of the vehicle b4 and aft booking... at least there is proofDont think you need to pay attention to them, ask them to proof first for the damage, go to case etc... as this is consider an unfair terms and condition to the consumer.

Hi, I am seeking some advise from people from accounting or legal professionals.
The case was that I have set up a company in singapore but it has been dormant since the start, although at the initial, the accounting firm has been providing the coporate secretarial services but on the second year i decide to close the company and seek what will be the best approach. What the acc. firm told me was that I need to file annual returns, do the accounts, etc...and wanted to bill me for $2000+, I told the acc firm that the company do not even have a bank account and no business transaction since day 1, isn't there a better approach, but the firm say no, it still has to take this approach.
I was perturbed and decided to make some enquiry and found out that the best approach is to apply for company strike-off, which the accounting firm failed to advise me on this approach which is more cost-effective.
Later, I applied and was waiting for approval, the acc. firm block it said that I have an outstanding fee with them and I am suppose to pay them. I am annoyed that they just block the application and I have to pay them for the secretarial services rendered. Although, it is not much, but I felt that there is a professional misconduct here in relation to the codes and ethics especially the accounting firm is trying to have economic gains rather than providing a fair advice and good understanding of practices to the client.
Do I have a case against the acc. firm? I am not asking for damages but just want the acc. firm to learn its lesson...please advise.

Potong Pasir MP Chiam to pursue government funds for upgrading
By Valarie Tan, Channel NewsAsia
Mr Chiam See Tong, who retained his Potong Pasir seat with slightly over half of the valid votes, will now pursue the government for funds to upgrade the flats in the constituency.
The lunchtime crowd gave him a hero's welcome when he held his victory parade on Sunday.
Mr Chiam is the chairman of the Singapore Democratic Alliance.
After a quick lunch on Sunday, Mr Chiam, flanked by party members, got on a convoy to spread his appreciation for all the residents in the ward.
Looking ahead, Mr Chiam said, at the next parliament sitting, he would pursue the government for the $80 million for upgrading works promised by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong if the PAP had won Potong Pasir.
Mr Chiam said: "The government has the money, and since they've promised the upgrading in Potong Pasir, I think they should release the money to us."
Mr Chiam feels the election was a tough contest and a good learning experience for his younger candidates.
He said: "I'm not really disappointed, but the fact the percentage of opposition candidates have increased is already a big improvement for the opposition."
And despite their loss at Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, the SDA team will remain there and work on recruiting more members. - CNA/ch
It will be interesting to see how Mr. Chiam take this issue,
