second one is more for those descriptive essays, too many of these in regular compositions make it sound very boring and dry. a few in a compo would make it look pretty nice but please do not emphasize the varsity of everything all in one sentence, it would sound pretty stupid.
eg: the girl had astonishing looks with milkly soft hair that fell to her shoulders
--> just nice
eg: the girl possessed astonishining beauty with the milky soft hair of an angel that fell like the summer breeze on her perfectly sized upper forearm
--> far too dry and crappy
dun flame thxya, but what is this called?

hmms my teacher said this was to show and not tell... but i don't know the exact term for this..
Eg: Instead of saying "I have confidence to do well in the examination" , say "I felt that I had the knowledge of a thousand prodigies, ready to top my examinations with flying colours"
Pls do not tell me the term for this is arrogant.. >.<
Thks for reading .
