Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway videos
The following videos are filmed by me during my Hong Kong/China/Macau trip late last year
They are filmed at various locations of Hong Kong on the Christmas eve of 2006
as follows:

Metro Carmell Waymann upgraded train (Kwun Tong MTR)

Mitsubishi-Rotem K-Stock (Kwun Tong MTR)

Adtranz CAF Airport Express train (Sunny Bay)

Adtranz CAF Tung Chung Line train (Sunny Bay)

Rotem K-Stock Tung Chung Line train (Sunny Bay)

Refurbished MCW Disneyland Resort Line train (Sunny Bay)
Note that the file size of these video files may be large and thus slow loading may be expected. However, do enjoy these HK MTR videos!

did not see any Easyaccess taxi in HK when I was there

2007 is coming..........in one day's time.
so, what are your hopes and wishes for Singapore taxis in 2007?
-------------------------------
For me,
1) Hope that taxi rides are more comfortable
2) Hope that the taxi rides are value-for-money
3) Hope that there would be lesser fare scams and rip-offs
4) Hope that the service quality of cabbies could be improved
5) Hope that the taxis would take a more direct route to destinations.
anything else?
Anyway, Happy New Year 2007 to all sgtaxis @ sgforums users

JSV,
can you....................just forget about this and continue with your life?
life is not about grumbling here only because of your overpaid fares.
-------------------------------
Its some 2 months since this incident was first heard.
I think nothing much was done by LTA about this.
Besides, there is another case of rip-off recently.
-------------------------------
So,
compared to theirs, this is just a small incident.
--------------------------------
Really, no use about "crying over split milk". Get on with your life, JSV. And all the best for you.Edited by SGEMP 30 Dec `06, 11:35PM

Now in HK.
Just returned from china (shenzhen, guangzhou, zhuhai) and macau.
-------------
lots of cabs there
but the taxi ride in guangzhou is a hell
taxis in guangzhou are very much affected by traffic jams. this causes the taxi(s) to make frequent hard fast braking along the way. so the taxi rides there can be so shaky until i felt dizzy upon reaching my destinations there.
the ventilation in taxis there may be poor as well
worst, if kena volkswagen, the taxi would appear cramped after my family members were onboard --- the volkswagen are simply too small-built
anyway taxi fares in guangzhou starts from RMB 2.60 (1 sgd = 5 rmb appx)
the make of taxis there are mostly Volkswagen taxis made in Shanghai under the name of "Shanghai Da Zhong"
pixs would be up laterEdited by SGEMP 03 Dec `06, 9:19PM

$2.40what a waste!
FireIce, you can actually through the MRT station concourse, onto the covered walkway (should have) and into the bus stop, instead of taking a short taxi ride like that --- and $2.4 gone!
Why would you take such a short ride like that? For fun? or to avoid MRT Station crowds?
I have an idea that you are taking it for fun. What a joke!
