Logo, attire set express service apart
5 Jul 08, the new paperWE refer to Mr Jason Heng Ching Sheng's letter, 'Be clearer about charges', (The New Paper, 30 Jun).
Allow us this opportunity to inform that our Fast Forward services are clearly differentiated with a bold 'Fast Forward' logo which appears just beside the service number.
This is to minimise confusion of Fast Forward services which run parallel to normal trunk services.
In addition, bus captains driving Fast Forward services don a vest to differentiate themselves from the regular parent services.
At the bus stops where Fast Forward services call, details including their routes, operating hours and fares charged can be found - once again to minimise confusion with normal trunk services.
Since we introduced Fast Forward services in 2005, we have not encountered many instances of commuters boarding the wrong bus, but we will continue to monitor the situation.
We thank Mr Heng for his feedback.

I’m so happy! SMRT has again printed individual service guides for some routes! I just took from Bt Batok interchange office for svc 61,77,106,177 & 189. guide info correct as of May 2008. guides are only available at the interchange office and you got to request for it from the staff on duty as it is placed behind the glass counter. its good in this manner, so that the guides is likely to be abused and just thrown around like waste paper.
But some KS bus fans would go to the office & request for the same services ones wk in wk out...

The staff told that when I requested for a copy of SMRT Service 61 guide(finally!) from the office...
