To the topic creator.. you shouldn't be posting comments de-grading your unit and/or your superiors.. Especially in your case.. Seeing that you're not well liked by at least one platoon sergeant

PS: How many times did you cry, you girl?!
Topic Creator: 2 times, Platoon Sergeant!!
PS: Are you a disappointment?!
Topic Creator: Yes, I'm a disappointment, Platoon Sergeant!
Hehe!! Happy figuring out who I am MR 4111

There's following temple's exist in Kali's honor..
Vairavimada Kaliamman Temple - Toa Payoh Lorong 8
Vadabathira Kaliamman Temple - Serangoon Road
Veeramma Kaliamman Temple - Serangoon Road
Ruthra Kaliamman Temple - Depot Road (Opposite CMPB Building)
Mariamman Temple does have a shrine for Kali.. But its depicts the calm aspect of her..
(No temple in Singapore has Kali in her fierce form due to religious reasons)

Guys.. Some of you are being quite rude towards the depiction of Hindu deities.. May I request that you do not assume things (e.g calling the serpents Medusa) if you aren't sure about the facts.
The Lion Deity picture: His name is Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of major Hindu deity, Vishnu. Although a very benign Deity, Vishnu assumed this fierce form, as the demon (whose name is Hiranyakasibu) he is killing had obtained a very complex boon from another God.
According to the boon, the demon could not be killed indoors or outdoors, at dawn or at dusk, by man or by animal, by any man-made weapons, on the ground or in the air.
Thus to kill him while honoring the boons, Vishnu took on a form that was neither man or animal, He dragged the demon to the castles entrance (neither indoors or outdoors), He placed the demon on His lap (neither on ground or in the air), He waited for midnight (neither day nor night) and killed him by ripping his torso using His claws (not a man-made weapon)
The serpent (whose name is Sesha) at the background serves Vishnu as His bed. And as someone posted earlier, Narasimha is worshipped in the hindu temple at Waterloo Street.
The boy (not girl) in the picture, is the demon's son, Prahalada. Unlike his father, Prahalada was a devotee to Vishnu, and was the one who calmed Him down after He flew into a rage while killing the demon.
Hope that helped to clear your queries on the picture

what SAF board? u mean the sgforum SAF forum? i find it very rude and insensitive of u to write the sentence highlighted in red.
for your information, your thread there has already generated 12 replies. many forum members replied to your question within an hour after u created the thread. instead of being of being thankful, u still got the cheek to call it slow? that is very ungrateful. what do u expect? u expect to be spoon fed with answers within 1 minute? please be more sensitive in your choice of words in future.I do apologise, as when I first post my thread on both boards, this board had initially generated more replies for me, thus leading me to call the SAF forum slow. But after awhile the SAF Forum did end up generating more answers for me, and eventually solving my queries.
My sincerest apologies yet again.
And BTW, I don't recall highlighting that sentence in red.
