Yah man...i think the reason why so many singaporeans percieve PRC people as rude people is because Singapore is a dumping ground for lousy PRC people.
put yourself into the shoes of a PRC citizen..
1st choice - work in rich 1st world countries like USA,britain etc..
2nd choice - work in the top tiered cities in China, like Shanghai, hongkong, nanking etc
3rd choice - work in some psuedo overseas chinese-like developing country like Singapore.
So actually we are just getting Shiitty PRC people with no place to stand in the world and mainland china.
Singapore should really get quality people...not quantity.. but then again, if too many quality people comes to Singapore, they are gonna compete in terms of job and lower wages..
i guess theres a double edged sword in everything.

So what DID the Chinese Premium say about Chinese culture during his visit?
Anyone? Any 1st hand source?
Well, he mentioned about Chinese history, and made reference to the current situation.
The Tang and Ming era thrived because opened herself to the world, no country is alone by themselves. Qing era pretty much declined chinese influence. Only through openess and interaction will one be successful.
He said that china will be continue to be opened to ideas mentioned by Singapore and the rest of the world.
Anyways, Mr. Wen is very popular in china, because he isn't an elite. He was actually from peasant background and rose up the ranks through hardwork and integrity.

KMT still holds power in Taiwan, the majority of the paliament is with KMT, just that the head of state is a DPP.
, and not forgetting even Chiang Kai-shek himself admitted when ROC was removed from UN that "ROC is no longer in existence" (this i heard from my Taiwanese friend), but had just stopped short of calling Taiwan "Republic of Taiwan".
As for Chiang Kai Shek? Come on, this is a guy that tried collaborating with the japs, abandoned his fellowman in mainland/nanjing and subsequently lost the whole of China. besides, he is dead for like 30+ years already..
Sun Yat sen's greatest mistake would be to pass the leadership of China to him.
Talking about Hong Kong, well, not all are happy that it got reunified with China. Remember the number of protests that have happened in Hong Kong over the past decade against the central China government? Even my Hong Kong friend in University here was very unhappy on the anniversary of HK's reunification, because she felt that the HKers have not benefitted at all from the reunification.protest are common in HK even during the British rule, besides, the protests that Hkers made are to their own domestic policies with the local Hk govt. Nothing to do with the central govt in Beijing.
And of course, not forgetting that Tibet and Xinjiang were taken by force in the 1950s, it is no wonder that these two regions want independence from the mainland.Tibet would be worst off if they had their independence..they were one of the poorest country in the world. Although chinese rule was suppressive in the 50s, much of tht has ease. Now is an economic boomtime for china's western area. There is no real support for independent from tibetians in tibet anyway..
As for xinjiang, its the muslim terrorist that wants independence. U want another Taliban?

This Jurassic Park 4 is a little different from the rest...
Jeff goldman would be still in the film though i think...
this time, its about a military organisation coming onto the island and training the dinosaurs to use weapons like machine guns and stuffs...
so it would be a battle between hapless puny human beings and dinos with guns!!
thats what i heard from the radio...
