and to domonkassyu yes the bible do teach of an eternally tormenting hell.

Jesus spent much time warning us about the "the fire that shall never be quenched" -- a place of "weeping and gnashing of teeth". in fact he talks more about the fires of hell then the joys in heaven. it is an eternal punishment meaning you can't get out of there forever if you are there.

hell is originally created for Satan and his minions for their eternal punishment for going against God. but understand that Satan wants you to join him. so on the day of judgement Jesus will come down a second time and judge. Satan and his followers including unbelievers will be cast down to hell forever.

so hell is empty now and the unbelievers who are dead before the day of judgement goes to a place call Hades then where then is Satan and his minions?

they are roaming the earth right down ruling over this world. Satan is prince of this world

John 16:11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

he is seeking people to join him in hell and even Christians too! don't be fooled!

John 12:31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

In a Church, there are two types of christians.

one is called the wordly christians, the other the spiritual christians. For the rests of the world? They are called natural persons.

The worldly christians are those who has open the door to the spirit but has also open the door to the flesh. The worldly christians still lives in the flesh even he or she has been born again

If you do not possess these qualities, you then have the characteristics of a worldly christians. he or she is then ineffective and unproductive, sluggish and does not grow in faith.he or she is nearsighted and blinded to the Holy Spirit's truth and listen to the lies of Satan.

"Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly." (1 Cor. 3:1-3)

A spiritual christian has his door open to the spirit but the door to the flesh is closed as the flesh has been crucified with christs. the mind, will and emotions are summited to the spirit. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."(gal 2:20)

The natural persons? they are unbelievers who has closed the door to the spirit and open the door to the flesh.

the natural person is centered in himself and is open to the temptation and power of Satan. the natural person is in the process of dying and cannot reverse it. this person is not able to relate to God properly."The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."( 1Cor. 2:14)

i don't think there's still one thousand years later. Jesus is coming down very soon (open your eyes and look at around us, the signs...) And the one who judges us is Him.
