Not 177! I seriously doubt that the bus can climb up the hill. The 852 UDs already have trouble climbing up the short slope from BB East Ave 3 to Ave 6.
I shall miss this bus. The rides are slow but smooth. Its not bumpy and doesnt vibrate like some L113s.

Oops typo. It should be interchange.
LTA said its a temp structure here:
http://www.straitstimes.com/ST%2BForum/Story/STIStory_261474.html
A covered linkway is planned to connect DTL Petir station, Bukit Panjang LRT station and the temporary bus interchange. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will also work with other agencies to study how future development at the reserve site beside the two stations can be integrated to link these facilities.

How about amending 920 and 922 when the DTL comes up.
Start at Upp Bt Timah Rd, outside the future Petir Stn.
Petir Rd (EXP)
Jelebu Rd
BP Ring Rd
...
BP Ring Rd
BP Rd
Upp Bt Timah Rd
BP Bus TerThis can serve to bring BP residents closer to the MRT stn.
Or maybe they will be relocating the Bus Ter, since its called BP Temporary Bus Ter.

Erm...
Its not possible cos the program consists of several modules. The problematic one is ~50 pages long when printed out.
The computers are using excel97. Since the programme can work prefectly fine on most computers, I wonder if it has something to do with the settings of that particular com. Like the Add-Ins or something?

What do y'all think abt this? I thought it might not be such a bad idea. Maybe can charge $3 with one free transfer.

This service is not the former 580 which only goes at teban garden and West Coast. It goes at Jurong East And West area and I think it will give demands like 579
Dont use expressways just for the sake of using expressways leh. You can actually go from PIE to scotts road by using stevens road, like 190. Can extend to Boon Lay also to benefit more ppl.

Hi all,
I encountered this problem using a VB programme in excel. Basically, I have this excel database of people. The programme will calculate the number of people in the different departments and summarise it into a table on a separate sheet.
This programme works fine on most computers. However, on one particular computer, it gives me a totally different set of data (wrong data). Can anyone tell me whats the problem? Is there some settings on excel that I have to take note?
BTW, Im using excel97.
Thanks in advance.

The part from Bt Timah road onwards seem to duplicate 48 a lot leh, especially since 48 is going to be extended to Kent Ridge soon.

Fantasy route service 49 from Pasir Ris to Jurong East.

I used to suggest this route previously but it has been amended to ply Lower Kent Ridge Rd, Suntec, CBD areas. Thus, it provides quick links from Pasir Ris to Marine Parade, Suntec, Marina Centre, Shenton Way and NUS and Teban Gdns.

Service 49A is a bus service that skips CBD areas and provides an even faster link than 49 from the east to NUS areas. It operates in one direction only and during weekdays morning and evening peak hours
Overall, service 49 acts as an alternative to the east-west line.
Nice job linking Pasir Ris to Marine Parade and West Coast to CBD.
But I dont see how it provides a quick link from
Pasir Ris to the West. The route would take at least 1hr to get
from Pasir Ris to NUS and another 30mins to get to JE. I would
suggest going via West Coast Highway instead of West Coast Road.
Maybe dont loop around the Tanjong Katong area so much too.49A shd be renumbered 49e. 'A' routes are short service ones and shouldnt be used in routes that skip stops. Might cause confusion.

DD SPOTTED IN BUKIT PANJANG!!
I was having lunch at BPP today. My friend suddenly pointed at the window and commented: "Since when did SBS come to Bukit Panjang?" I was stunned when I saw a VO (Or is it LO? Cant really tell from the side) with pax on board along Bukit Panjang Road, turning into BP Ring Road. It was abt 1.40pm.
At first, I thought it was a chartered bus (Does SBST allow chartered DDs?) but it turned out to be a hopelessly lost 168. Lol. Didnt manage to catch the rego though. Really wondered how the BC ended up in BP. Its so far off its route.

Perhaps you can extend it to Bishan and AMK. Something like the Stadium Direct services, passing through more heartland areas b4 zooming to the National Stadium.
Just curious, how often do you go bird park? I think 508 should pass by nearby attactions like Science Centre too to increase demand.

So far the general public view of K230s on airport services wasn't too good. Alot of people are complaining that there are lesser seats, meaning they got to stand for the journeys throughout the expressways.I hope that with K230 on airport services, fleet addition can occur so as to
1) reduce the waiting time
2) give more seats to tired passengers who have taken a long journey on the plane. It may be better for those with luggages coz merc's steps and narrow aisle is not exactly very ideal for luggages.

Those ppl can walk to nearby lor 3 to board the bus, provided they set up a bus stop near Kheng Cheng pri sch.
231 has really bad off-peak loads, (Just saw a 231 with a grand total of 1 pax on board) so why not combine 231 with 235, esp since you r championing for the removal of 231 anyway. :)

True. In that case, make 231 AM/NN peak service. Other instances muz take 59.Also can merge 231 with 235, like I suggested a few months back. Hopefully, this can increase the loads and SBST will then deploy more buses. The new service can also stop outside Chung Hwa Clinic to serve the Shop & Save ppl. For the 56/105/153 ppl, they will have to cross over to the interchange.

Do you mean for it to loop inside NTU? It seems too long to me. Perhaps there can be more express sectors like PIE from from Geylang to Bedok Reservoir. As what jay suggested, using Bt Timah Rd/Newton Rd instead of Adam Rd/PIE/Thomson Rd might not be a bad idea too.

I second the CCK-Bishan link!! I think that there is a lack of services from West to Central/NE. That was the intention of 84. Perhaps it would be better to extend it to AMK/Serangoon? Maybe skip the Bt Timah Rd part, cos it duplicates 852.
