your eco friendly laptop is abit too futuristic. solar panels? then either its external or your laptop has to be damn big and classroom damn bright...a laptop is also not cheap. e-learning also poses a lot of problems eg. server crash.(im in np and its compulsory to have a laptop and trust me not everyone can afford it and there are also its downsides) its not easy to find a cheap and light weight laptop. you can stop cutting down trees but mine more metals and burn more fuel to power the laptops...now your idea doesnt seem feasible but in the future this could well be the case...its an idea worth making and developing on and your generation could be the one to push for this...today, no but 10 years down the road, who knows?

Join something interesting. Come on, anything is more interesting than UGs.
i would proudly tell my child that i was a scout. there is a lot more to scouting then you think. by you saying the above i assume you are not a scout or have a bad experience with scouting? i would say that unless you are a real scout please refrain from making such comments. oh ya and being a real scout is more than putting on that green uniform and beret, there is much more to scouting than that.

did not know that sg, from the response here, considered a poor country with noteably high unemployment for a first world country.
erm introduce them to shelters, retraining them for jobs...if a smoker smokes next to you and the 2nd hand smoke affects you, thats inconsiderate

its not that there are not enough agencies to look after destitutes or the homeless, but rather not enough funds to run them! go read yesterday's straits times review on why charities get scammed.
social problem? lots of people lack understanding of social service in sg. its not as great as you think it is.
