Today I was on board bus 58 (SBS 635U) to school as usual. At around 7.20am, while the bus was waiting at Lor Chuan turning into S'goon Ave 3, I saw another bus 58 (adless Mk4 DM, dunno rego, in opposite direction) turning from S'goon Ave 3 at a dangerous high speed!!! And the bus was full. Luckily it didn't cause any accident. But the BC (a female one, I think) was quite distressed as I saw from the bus I was on. Then the bus stopped by the road side. Dunno what happened, but I think she needed to recover from shock.
Omg... That was really dangerous!! Especially a 45 degree turn at high speed. I wonder what would really happen if an accident really occured...

Here's two of my suggested routes utilising the KPE:
108: Hougang to Bt Merah
- Hougang Int
- Hougang Ctrl
- Hougang Ave 5
- Hougang Ave 7
- Tampines Rd
- Hougang Ave 1
- Lorong Ah Soo
- Upp Paya Lebar Rd
- Paya Lebar Rd
- PIE
- KPE
- ECP
- Temasek Blvd
- Raffles Blvd
- Temasek Ave
- Raffles Ave
- North Bridge Rd
- South Bridge Rd
- Cross St
- New Bridge Rd
- Outram Rd
- Tiong Bahru Rd
- Henderson Rd
- Bt Merah Ctrl
- Bt Merah Int
I was thinking that residents living along Hougang Ave 1 and Lor Ah Soo don't have direct bus service to the CBD, so this service will bring them the benefits, such as travelling to Marina Centre and Chinatown.118/118M: Punggol to Shenton Way (Weekdays) / Punggol to Marina Centre (Night and Weekends)- Punggol Int
- Punggol Ctrl
- Edgefield Plains
- Punggol Field
- Punggol Rd
- Compassvale St
- Sengkang East Rd
- TPE
- KPE
- Airport Rd
- MacPherson Rd
- Aljunied Rd
- Geylang Lor 22
- Guillemard Rd
- Nicoll Highway
- Esplanade Dr
- Fullerton Rd
- Raffles Quay
- Shenton Way
- Palmer Rd
- Shenton Way Term
(118M would loop around Suntec area like most other services)I feel that there should be at least 1 bus service to the CBD from Punggol. I'm also thinking whether this service should serve MacPherson Estate as well, since there's no direct bus to Shenton Way from there. But that would add travel time for Sengkang and Punggol residents. What do you think?Edited by sbst_no_162 28 Sep `08, 5:35PM

I just dreamt that I was at Orchard Road and Scotts Road intersection, and I saw SMRT double decks around. Don't know which model. And I also saw a Scania N113CRB on svc 14, and it is wheelchair accessible as I saw the logo in front!!!
And guess what? When you board the bus, you go up the steps as usual. Then towards the middle , you go down the steps again. On the left is one for the wheelchair and on the right is the exit door. Then you have to go up the steps again as you walk to the rear.
So the low floor portion is only at the middle facilitating wheelchair bound people. The front and back are high floor!! o_O

Did I see wrongly?! DD on 58?!?!
Is that a new perm or is it just a cameo?? If it's a perm, I'll look forward to taking it to school.

I wonder how it manages the Z-turn at Lor Chuan. Normally I take 58 to school, the bus is already struggling quite a bit, especially the left turn into S'goon Ave 3 outside Lor Chuan MRT exit.

Today morning, I dreamt of sv 14 passing by where I live, and it was heading to Yishun. I've no idea how it is rerouted to there...

And I also dreamt of boarding an OC500LE on sv 190 in CCK area. But somehow, I found myself sitting on one of the 4 yellow seats on top of where the front left wheel is located. And the seats are facing the side and not the front, like those in some buses such as DM3500, Dennis Lance, etc.

Notice that I would not renumber some of the current services. E.g 190, 61, 67 are some of those high profile SMRT services that pass through the city area, and it will get people easily confused when they are renumbered.
Whereas for others... I don't know how should I rename them... LOL!!

Just looked at the location maps of the stations. I was expecting Rochor Station to be slightly more to the east, in front of Sim Lim Square. And I'm wondering how they would build another pair of platform perpendicular to it, since the route for DTL phase 3 is going to intersect the route for phase 2.
Beauty World Station should be shifted slightly further down, since it would be nearer to NP and serving the shopping centres at the same time. Perhaps can link NP via an underpass.
I was expecting a Balmoral station between Newton and Stevens. I think that place deserves a station, but perhaps it might be too near to either Newton or Stevens.
Originally posted by Scania:High chance Petir station would be renamed to Bukit Panjang.
Agree. And I think Beauty World would be renamed to Bukit Timah.
I feel that Hwa Chong would be a more appropriate name for Duchess station (not that I'm from Hwa Chong). Likewise for Stevens, Whitley would be a better name in my opinion.
Last but not least, the DTL phase 2 should extend to Kranji, and possibly to JB in the future.

You can also take 980 at North Bridge Rd, which is a short distance from Lavender MRT. From Lavender MRT, go behind the ICA building, cross the canal, walk through the HDB blocks, then you'll reach North Bridge Rd.
Next time please post your questions here: http://buses.sgforums.com/forums/1279/topics/287590

I'd rather have 859 to be extended to Changi Village than having a new service, since there's potential for 859 to be extended after calling at Yishun. And I find that going by Changi Coast Road is quite long. Why not just pass by Tampines town centre > Tampines Ave 7 > Loyang Ave > Changi Village after exiting from TPE?

I suggested this sometime ago but nobody commented. So I thought of posting here again. I think it would be quite a good service.
967: Woodlands to Marina Centre (Loop)
Woodlands Regional Int
Woodlands Ave 2
Woodlands Ave 1
Woodlands Ave 12
SLE
Upp Thomson Road
Thomson Road
Balestier Rd
Lavender St
Crawford St
Republic Ave
Republic Blvd
Raffles Ave
Nicoll Highway
Raffles Blvd
Temasek Blvd
Temasek Ave
Raffles BlvdThe service would then make its return journey after Raffles Blvd.
Unlike 960, 967 would serve the Upper Thomson corridor, where there is no direct bus link to Woodlands. It will also serve the Balestier area and Lavender St, then go through the Crawford Underpass towards Marina Centre. This service can also be extended to the future Integrated Resort when it is fully developed.
968: Woodlands to Bt Merah
Woodlands Regional Int
Woodlands Ave 2

Woodlands Ave 12

Yeah, and I think SMRT's Dennis Lances can also be converted into WAB. Just eliminate the step at the exit and add a ramp, and replace with a plug door can liao.
For SBST, I think 73 deserves to have WAB.
For SMRT, maybe 961, 980, 61, and 851.

Amend 133 such that it has Green and White routes, as follows:
Green: AMK Int
AMK Ave 3
AMK Ave 6
Marymount Rd
Thomson Rd
Newton Rd
Scotts Rd
Orchard Rd
Bras Brasah Rd
Loops at Suntec City, and return to AMK by the present route.
White: It starts from AMK and travel to Suntec City by the present route. After looping there, it goes as follows:
Stamford Rd
Penang Rd
Somerset Rd
Orchard Turn
Orchard Blvd
Scotts Rd
Newton Rd
Thomson Rd
Marymount Rd
AMK Ave 6
AMK Ave 3
AMK Int
I actually thought that 133 goes by the route that I suggested after I briefly look through the street directory many years ago.
Since SBS Transit has 170 from JB to the city area, and since it also has 160 from JB to Jurong East in the west, why not have 150 from JB to the eastern part of Singapore??

For 1), is it the bus stop at the JB checkpoint, before we clear the customs when we enter JB?? I remember I had to go to the right side after alighting the bus.
