Hahaha, I think taxpayers money might have went to the F15, F16 and F5 aircraft, puma and apache choppers in RASF, fuel, pilots' pay, maintainence are enough to buy over 100 million stun gun. Why not complain about Airforce instead? Everyone is playing a part of defence and protect, consider your tax money are charges to keep you safe.

In my opinion, I was once a commander in Army, you have to stand your ground. NS is not child's play, its about security of this country. I know IPPT is not really about security, however if 1 man can be insubordinate, the rest will follow (he might tell his fellow friend, "hey you just tell your OC PNS will reschedule can liao, he hum chee don't dare to touch you one, most talk talk to scare you only") and soon you would lose your respect. If he were to tell me "sir, go also fail one" I will ask "Then since if you know you will fail, did you train up for it?" if he say "No" then you could tell him "take this IPPT and treat it as a remedial training, I don't care you pass or fail, at least show me that you are willing to put in effort to attend the test." If he replies "yes, I did train up for it" then you can tell him "Its time to prove your effort worth, passing or failing is not important, all I want to see is the effort you put in to try". If he refuses, just charge him in minor offense and let him do extra duty. Being stern, not bias and reasonable is one way of earning respect from your men. A phase well liked by me in my Army days "Rank is what you wear, respect is what you earn." Earn your respect sir.

Think what I would usually do if I were to cross a crowded area is to say “excuse me” to make your presence known to the blocker rather than bang through without any warning. Its like motorcycle at blindspot of car would usually horn to make his presence known. Exercise basic courtesy would make life easier for both parties right?

Hello, I post this entry here hoping that I could have some advice from people who have knowledge about SPF, thank you.
3 weeks ago, I send an online application to apply for the post of JPO, until now I still haven't get any reply yet. A brief background of myself... I was an ex regular from Army and therefore I'm at my late 20s now, my height is slightly over 170cm, I often go for gym and run on my own and my physical fitness is still well maintained. I really wished to be a police officer executing duty to maintain law and order in sg but since it has been a long wait, I felt that chances are slim. So I went to CISCO recently since they are having recruitment as well and they are in need for APO (Auxillary Police Officer) also but I find that APO doesn't work like SPF POs, APO works like security guard and hardly have any case to handle, no patrols, no raids, no spot checks, etc, basically their area of responsibility is very confined and hardly have chances to perform. Therefore I didn't apply for APO yet, still hoping to hear from SPF.
Now I feel very lost, should I continue waiting or not? Is it because my age is a limitation? Or is it because of my height? Feel free to comment, suggest and recommend. Thank you for your contributions.
