They say, its hard to have a human life, its even harder to get to hear the dharma
You are enjoying now, but have you thought that maybe just 30 minutes of your time every day can lead you to enlightenment and not having to go through samsara.
Make it a habit. If not FORCE yourself to do meditation. MUST have discipline.
Master Chin Kung say you should focus on your life's most important event which is going through endless cycles of rebirth, that is where the problem lies. Not thinking about life's other events/problems. Look at the bigger picture

The mom and sis method is very effective. Will turn on this "mode" when the sounds find me again. haha tks cycle. Quite effective. I can't fight these sounds as they are "on "24hrs". I can't work and mind them for the whole day. Very irritating.
Am getting better by the day. Just that I have done wrong in my thought and wish to repent. Surely I don't want to go to hell for a wrong thought.

Hi guys.
I am a scizophrenic and trying very hard to practise on top of the sounds that are trying to disturb me when I practise.
I got caught in sort of slandering the Buddha in my thoughts. These thoughts are so real that I am very afraid that I would go to hell.
How do I repent? I have not done anything physically or verbally. But these sounds that are pestering me are so intellligent that they can mislead me into directing wrong thoughts to Buddhism/Buddha. A thought can be very dangerous.
How I wish the sounds could go away.

Hi guys.
I read this from Master Chin Kung
Anger is like a fire, being one of the three poisons. Once a person's anger flares up, all the merit and virtues accumulated from years of diligent cultivation completely disintegrate, sending the practitioner back to square one.
As the above, if one person really flares up, the virtues and merit will be gone?
I am a person prone to anger.
How do we prevent ourself from being angry.
What if you are cultivating and people intentionally want to stir you up and make you angry

Thanks a lot guys. Especially to sinweiy for letting me have the chance to know Patriarch Ou-i's commentary. I think the last thing now is to just continue reciting~

So that means if we practise reciting amitabha, we can also go to other pureland.
Is there any good books on practising pureland?
Thanks sinweiy

I suddenly have this thinking today and would like you all to comment on this.
Whats your purpose of doing merits.
From day one, you are trying to accumulate merits to cultivate your widsom, compassion etc.
You always strive to do more good merits.
What if one day lets say your doing of good for like 1 year is gone(Is it possible that your merits will be gone?)
Then suddenly you feel whats the objective of doing merits.
The only thing that I can think of is that I have made the difference by doing good in this physical world and I can cultivate my good roots within(Anyone can add in more?)
Sometimes I feel that when I am doing good, i suddenly feel a certain emptiness. Its like emptiness. Then I jump straight back to reality.
What do you all think. Please give me your advise/comments so I could be enlightened.
Can anyone point me to websites regarding the doing of merits. Like donating to temple, helping out etc etc. The purpose. Thanks
Forrest
