  omg, i didnt know there were such things! its a free service?
  
  i was thinking of getting a dvd recorder since prices are dropping.. its like $288 for a 80GB akira from giant or courts or $399 for a 160GB pioneer from audio house.
  
  not too keen on watching the playback shows on my 13" laptop screen...

  try getting equotes from places like cathay, MS, Alan Photo, Parisilk in Holland V... then compare the prices. if you want cheapest, audio house is selling all their display sets dirt cheap. so thats an option too. you can go down and see the price and condition..

  if you're worried can use a piece of cloth cover your LCD monitor.. i do that to mine. keeps away dust too.

  yea, will recommend canon or nikon rather than sony actually.. maybe the canon ixus 80IS could be selling for just below $400 now.. thats a pretty good all rounder camera.
  
  you could check out audio house, they're having a moving out sale now. and for nikon cameras, they give double the free memory card.

  yeaa 420$ is quite abit for such an old model and 2nd hand one. you buy a new one, maybe can even get the freebies.
  
  i second ixus 80IS, am using it myself and find it a very good camera overall. audio house is selling $429 too, with free 2 x 4GB card , mini tripod, card reader...

  yea fujitsu is pricey. i saw the HP one at a roadshow.. $999. i think you can check out best denki. their salesmen there are pretty good with product knowledge.

  yea i've heard alot about gamin. but in the end i bought packard bell compasseo 600 cos my friend is using and she says it uses a good CPU system. got it for $599 and got a free $100 NTUC voucher from audio house.

  i personally favour the major superstores.. like audio house, they often have their digital camera fair then they'll also throw in all the free stuff like tripod, cleaning kit, memory card etc.
