I dont think technology will get that advanced so soon. Put AI aside, movements of the most advanced robots barely resemble that of humans.
I personally think the human race would probabily be in termoil by 2050. who even cares about AI when oil runs out, gloabl warming sets in, crops fail, famine, plague, water pollution, air pollution, nuclear contamination.... are around.

You want be be rich and wish to do something you like in uni but dont think the degree you desire will bring in the dollars in future. Well... who says fass graduates cant earn truck loads of cash? It all depends on the amount of work you put into it. J.K Rowling write books and she is a billionair.
Whats important is that you are happy at the end of the day. Is money more important or doing something you are really passionate about? You should know.

Some minor "defects" within us are likely to be ignored simply cause we wont think of it or it never affected us at all during our daily lives. Glad that Yamizi found out that he had abnormal heartbeat before anything major comes out of it in future. Guess these kind of things we will never know... just be more careful of personal health, do regualr checkups... thats the best we can do

I joined SCAMP... its a science fac camp on 23rd to 27th june
After reading all your comments I realised that I really need friends in uni to help me go through the ups and downs. One of the reasons Im afraid of going is that people may dislike me one way or another... but it dawned upon me that I wont be friends with such people anyway. Real friends will tolerate and compromise with each other... whats important is to find friends that are mine and ignore unwanted comments.
Thanks :)

Totally agree! If someone, an organisation or company wants to make a donation... why do they even wan to spend money on tv telling people watching "I donated money to the Si Chuan quake"Come on lar.... using the suffering of others for their own publicity and benefit... what a shame!

The number of births in Beijing alone is several times the death toll of the si chuan quake. But it wont put a dent to the population.
I agree that when countries modernise and develop... birth rates start to decline. But China still got a huge proportion of people living in rural areas that rely on farming. Such families have the tendency to have lots of children especially boys that can help out in the farms.
Although there is the one child policy and the population of China is 1.3billion. They never tell you the number of 黑人. These are the "extra kids" that some families have but never officially report their existance to the government. If they are found out, guess what the government do.... I heard its NOT very plesent.

Becos rulers in Burma are more likely to squabble aid funds so we have to deny the thousands of disaster victims help and relief?
Its the first time that Ive seen a local charity event on tv collecting donations for disaster in a foreign country. Why is there a show for the Si chuan quake but none for the Myanmar cyclone?
Its definitely a very good jesture by Singapore to have such a charity programme on tv... just that I hope people will oso help the cyclone victims
Locally... there are lots of needy people that need our help oso... spare them some thought for them as well...
