hi piguren, i think SMU law is quite good n recognise... n wif recent publication of news abt SMU i think they are almost comparable to the NUS n NTU..
when doing accountancy u will need to touch on company n business law... therefore it required u to study on this law.. and if u chose to do CSP next time.. is short it mean a secretary it required u to go through trainin n u muz understand the law.. if u think secretary is a low pay job then is totally wrong.. coz they are almost equilavent to a company high rank manager coz they can sign contract..
but both course are specialisation... coz both required u to know a lot things and need memorising... but law need more..

jus my thoughts (no offence).... i agree wif TS... my gf's frens always preach abt god to her n always ask her to go church.. which i feel is a bit irritatin..
i mean everyone has their own belief and it will be rather good to respect them for if they dun wish to go but not keep msgin or calling them to attend something tat dun like... tat is why tis is givin ppl very very bad impression...
even when i c on tv tat ppl boycotted some movies bcoz it is abt anti-christ.. i feel is really not necessary to do it or make into such a huge scene.. coz if one really truly believe tat god or jesus really existed, tis movies wun have any impact on u... maybe they r scare tat ppl will question abt it once they watch..in some sense they maybe dun have any confident in their faith...

specialised urself in taxation, CSP or jus accounting... but doin CSP is more towards the law part coz u will need to learn hw to start up a company, do on shares, know the company Act.. is quite interestin ba...
these few lines are much more relax as compare to auditor... u can try to join the local firm.. at least the workin time/hours is better than big 4...

accounts exe is sales representive.. means do on sales things de... is juz a title to it therefore no need to have accounts knowledge... whereas accounts asst is helpin to do on accounts... tat shld bee diff..
i think joinin local firm is also a good things. at least u will not be workin so long hr as compare to workin in big 4.. anyway.. i know KPMG offer scholarship for ACCA, local firm like chio lim stone forest(biggest local firm) also offer scholarship for ACCA..
but IMO, is better not go get bonded...

come on.. geyland is the red light district... no one is going to stop tis unless there is trouble... n prositution can never be gone coz almost all the country have... if there is ppl complainin abt it then will the police department step up.. juz like the joo chiat case.. when resident complain then it will raid..
imagine ppl from other countries ask u wat is an interestin place to go at nite.?? geyland is one of the 'attraction' apart from those clubbin scene in town.. or call it the night life..

the partners at the big four are earning over million in a yr... that the highest rank an accountant can go..
to be a partner one muz excel and ppl with accounting plus law or plus IT knowlegde(mus be very good).. they are the one tat r being invited to join as partners...
but to be true, being an auditors have no life coz of long n no fixed working hours... n usually ppl will change to other field after 3-5yrs in the audit field.. coz they have earn enough n wan to enjoy or it is juz to stressful..

hi... well to be exact being an accountant not necessary means u wan to step into the line of audit... there is other choices like taxation, accounts, CSP, finance&bank part... but audit is the one the earn the most..
uni grad with a degree.. not grad with ACCA.. ACCA is a british accounting body tat is recognised worldwide n can only be taken in either 3 diff institutes... SAA, FTC kaplan n another one i forgot..
to become a CPA or CFA u need to have at least 3yrs of relevant experience... ACCA cert is a professional cert.. their paper is even tougher than uni paper... tat means an ACCA grad is almost on par with wif uni grad...
uni tat have accountancy is SMU, NTU n NUS.. most good is NTU or SMU.. but recent news are saying SMU grad r gettin job faster n higher pay as compare to the rest of the uni grad..
all big 4 accept poly grad except u start of as an assistant... i have a frend grad from NP accountancy, finish NS.. had a 6month attachment at Merril Lynch... work in their bankin sector.. after he grad.. he was offer by them... monthly gross pay S$3000.. is a contract though..

To TS, how everything wif ur hubby? i rather understand wat r u fear of and why r u so uptight over tis issue.. u fall once and u r afraid to fall again.. is hard to build up the trust like before.. coz u experience before..
well juz my opinion for guy to watch porn is a common thing.. almost out of 10 i think 8-9 watch it. n masterbate is a way to release stress u know.. n is proven..
from wat u mention, i can c tat u have a good husband who r really sensitive to ur feeling n ur needs.. treasure n cherish him.. dun let small issue destroy ur and his whole life.. is really silly n stupid to do it.. tell him ur feeling n vice versa ask him how he feel.. communication is the key to build thing.. at least both have a good understandin n prevent any suspicion.... :)

poly have major exams too... i onli know of RP dun have.. as RP is problem base learning...
it is stress to study in poly also.. dun deny tat we too slack.. but in when it come to be serious i think most ppl really study hard to get a good grades...
i think more from poly are gettin into uni... i have almost quarter of my class get into uni.. some are offer by two uni... i grad from NP tis yr..
and talkin abt pay... i have a frend tat work at merril lynch after grad n got a pay of S$3000/month.. though is a contract.. but it is high for a poly grad..
