Ok folks....
This is a discussion board to share our knowledge and expertise, not as a punching bag for SMRT CEO.
And please, do show her due respect, especially as far as I am concerned, I am an employee of this company. Not that I am bootlicking, but please refrain from posting degratory remarks in this forum.
Thanks.

It is actually spelt as "ΕΛΒΟ" a greek word, with the second letter as Λ which is Lamda, the 11th letter in the Greek alphabet, equivalent to L in English.
Hence the pronunciation of ΕΛΒΟ as elbo, not EABO.
The batch of Scania L113CRL buses TIB833X-837K, 839E-848D are of Elbo bodywork from Greece.

Yes.With the transition from the conventional ezlink card to the new CEPAS compliant card for SeP definitely the personalized cards will have to be changed.
Personalized cards means corporate cards from SBST, SMRT, LTA and all concession ezlink cards Pri/Sec/ITE/Tertiary/Full Time NS & Senior Citizen.
For your info, SMRT just changed their employee ezlink card from dark grey to the red colour just this year as part of 20th anniversary gift pack. And now we will have to change the employee pass again...
Thank you to Bus Speeder for kicking off this new topic. I got the press release from LTA and was about to start this topic when I saw this topic already in sgforums.

Further updates I obtained:
The new JB CIQ Complex will be opened on 2/12/08.
However, the new JB CIQ complex will just be a passing-through venue. Passengers and vehicles arriving or departing Malaysia will still have to use the old checkpoint.
No boarding and alighting shall be carried out at the new CIQ complex.
The new routing will apply on the direction towards Pasar Bakti for 160, 170X & 950 and Larkin for 170.
As for vehicles (including SBST & SMRT buses) coming back to Singapore, they need not pass through the new CIQ complex. Instead the current routing will be used (i.e. Jln Tun Abdul Razak) to access the current checkpoint.
The new bus stop 47701 outside JB Sentral will

The new JB CIQ complex targetted date of commencement of operations is set on 5 Jan 2009.
Till then, stay tuned for more updates.

And I believe 170e will be out only after the fleet renewal, when rectangular destos will be introduced.
Haha, let's keep the fingers crossed on 170e.Meanwhile, stay tuned for more updates...

Various media sources announced the new JB CIQ will open on 1 Dec 2008. However SMRT announced the amendment of their service 950 on 2/12/08. I guess the date they mentioned is just the targetted opening date. Since the media announced JB CIQ opening as 1/12/08, I believe the amendment of the cross-territorial bus services (160/170/950) should be in tandem with the opening.
Will keep you updated.
P.S. Perhaps, the introduction of SBST Fast Forward 170e (EIFS #529) may be well introduced when the route amendments have taken effect. Remember, SBST had applied to PTC to operate 170e quite sometime back and PTC had granted approval. Visit http://www.ptc.gov.sg/statistics_summary.asp

Personally I have not stepped into JB for at least a year but I heard about the linkbridge from my colleagues staying across the causeway.

Guys,
I was informed of the impending relocation of JB checkpoint to a brand new JB CIQ complex approx 900m down the road.
Targetted date of opening is on 2nd Dec. However there were minor issues to be ironed out between SBST/SMRT Buses and the Malaysian authorities.
Will update on the confirmed opening date of the new CIQ complex in this thread.
Kotaraya II Terminal shall be renamed as Pasar Bakti Terminal in line with the opening of the new JB CIQ complex.
As such, SBST's svc 160/170 & SMRTB's svc 950 will have slight amendments to their routes.
For svc 950, the new route details are as follows when the new JB CIQ complex opens:
Woodlands Regional Interchange, Woodlands Ave 3, Woodlands Centre Rd, Woodlands CIQ, Causeway, Tg Puteri Bridge, Jln Jim Quee, New JB CIQ, Jln Lingkaran Dalam, Jln Terbau, Jln Tun Abdul Razak (new bus stop JB Sentral opp City Square), Persiaran Tun Sri Lanang, Jln Ayer Molek, Jln Gertak Merah, Jln Gereja, Jln Trus & Pasar Bakti Terminal
Return trip via Pasar Bakti Terminal, Jln Suleiman, Jln Wong Ah Fook, Jln Tun Abdul Razak, Jln Lingkaran Dalam, New JB CIQ, Jln Lumba Kuda, Tg Puteri Bridge, Persiaran Tun Sri Lanang, Causeway, Woodlands CIQ, Woodlands Rd, Woodlands Centre Rd, Woodlands Ave 3 & Woodlands Regional Interchange.
*Italic font denotes non-stop sector
I do not have any info on SBST's svc 160 & 170 as of now.
Watch this thread for updates.
