You know he has set up his own company offering aerospace consultancy services? He has positioned himself quite nicely as a SME go-between.

Here's a tip: there's something in the list of acquisition related to the F15SG purchase that not many folks picked up. it's not classified; in fact it is listed in the open. Just that not many pple know what it is and its associated use.

Just a another warning to those people who think bullying nerds have no consequences.

The court said Kim had to pay for the suffering he caused
A military court in South Korea has sentenced to death a soldier who shot dead eight of his colleagues in June.
Kim Dong-min threw a grenade inside his barracks near the border with North Korea, and then opened fire at random at colleagues they slept.
Kim, 22, had complained of bullying by his fellow soldiers.
An inquiry into the incident found Kim had become so obsessed by computer war games that he could no longer tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
In a ruling quoted by Yonhap news agency, the 3rd Army's district court said: "We can't help separating the accused from society permanently, though we take into account his lack of a previous criminal record, his youth and unease at being in a closed place.
"The victims, bereaved families and surviving soldiers have suffered deep despair and unforgettable damage," it said.
According to one account, the attack was so ferocious that witnesses feared South Korea was being invaded.
Kim's defence lawyer said he would appeal the ruling at a higher court.
The conscript was a university student before beginning his two years of military service last December.
The BBC's Charles Scanlon says there are frequent reports of bullying and violence against conscripts in South Korea's 600,000-man army.

RT is a complete waste of time lah. In the effect, if your lifestyle is such that if you excercise you end up not being able to do work tommorow how?
There are plenty of people around the world who don't do RT and their lifespan is more or less the same as ours.
If you can't make it just fall out and say you're not feeling well to the medic. The PTI won't dare to demand that you carry on. Then just fall out lor. MC also can. Just collect enough and arrange for medical review.

In the real world, after 6pm it's my own time. (nevermind my 'free' time or not, It is still MINE). If MINDEF wants to use it, during ICT, they're certainly not paying for it.
How can I not charge MINDEF for it? Otherwise how to do business?
Originally posted by hisoka:psst ICT got pay one.
but you can consider putting econmical value on your free time though

how can you count salary like that? I would count NS as a loss of income before I retire.
If I'm earning 6k a month before I retire I would have lost 148k... whoa, MINDEF should free me HDB flat leh.
And I haven't counted ICT yet hor.

i`m gg to keep this set of papers and submit as proof
damn..
2 years is a lotta time and money man..
if u earn 2 k a mth
tt`ll be a loss of 48 k of money
money is nothing
but the youth we wasted, priceless

It's open information.
On the GeBiz website, there is an open RFI (request for information) on the mini-UAV.
Included are RFI documents

Of particular interest is Section 2, where they describe the operational requirements... due date is 29/11/2005. Anyone interested to put up a bid?

singapore say, since 18xx year they control it, take care of it and station people there all the while and the land is not mentioned in the Independance document. So since it is not mention, it remains status quo.
where as malaysia's case was that it is nearer to malaysian coast and that naturally be in Malaysia's territory since singapore broke away from malaysia. No that's wrong. It's still not decided yet.

Ok. But then, skyhawk is not the most efficient way of doing it. Time-on-station is probably the most important metric of such strike UAVs. Having a longer time-on-station allows much better tactical flexibility in when to drop your payload (e.g. when the enemy leaves his trench to take a piss). A C-130 does better in this respect, not to mention that it can carry a much heavier payload. (turboprops are much more efficient that turbofans/ turbojets on long endurance flights).
The global hawk has an endurance of > 40 hours and time-on-station of 24 hours! I don't think the skyhawk can match those kind of numbers (aerodynamically). One of the reason why this can be acheived, not to mention the 40+ years of improvement in aerodynamic design, but also because a lot of "man-rated" stuff has been removed. If you're dealing with a skyhawk chassis, it's not going to be cost effective ripping/modding those parts off.
When it's time to let go, let go...

The problem is, unlike dedicated cruise missiles where it's designed to be encapsulated and fired "out of the canister" after putting it in underground storage for 10+ years, you can't do the same for a combat plane like skyhawk. It's really not worth it. JASSM can do the job much better and without so much tactical constraints.

Hmm... finally some kind of DARPA style solicitation by DSTA

Well, the problem is how many people have the capability to provide solutions? Any show of hands to how many understand the problems?

when I was still there (mid-late 90's) it was still known as mechnical and production engineering and it was sort of like, a dumping ground for people who can't make it to civil or electrical engineering... How things change with a name change eh? Branding?

Well, I consider it as a bit of both. The brain is like a computer, have both hardware and software components.
If you have learning disabilities, then you have less than capable hardware (CPU not powerful enough), but you can always write more optimized programs. It takes a longer time and more effort to do so, but you can bring it up to a level they can do the job.
