Now, the MoS CDs suck. THe songs inside are so beng... hard to find good trance cds nowadays... milk bar is a trance club meh? So far in Singapore I can only find Liquid Room that plays half-decent trance music. Almost everywhere else is playing house music, and there is simply not as much energy in house than in trance...
sigh. yes, i'm a slave to commercialism... but gimme that anyday than the hard-to-dance-to house/breaks etc etc... brrr...Great to find a tranceaddict in here. MOS CDs aren't much of a quality nowadays, that is why Ferry Corsten didn't remix Trance Nation 2003, probably because MOS wanted him to mix what he didnt want. He chose to concentrate on his new album. The only quality compilations now are from Gatecrasher, GodKitchens and Slinky, can't be wrong about them.
I know what you mean about energy level, LR caters to the expat spending crowd and operates slightly differently from the rest, that is why the music there is always fast and pumping. At least Adrian and Stingray do play trance, else i wouldnt know where you guys would be headed to.
Milkbar is not a trance club. 1st level is primirily a chill out bar where one can catch some soccer action but it is a nice chill out area. 2nd level is a small dancefloor where the campus concept where servers wear school uniforms initially started, there isnt much of a crowd during weekends. You may see nice sofas and a pool table there when there isnt any events. Kennerve from frontallabs holds residency there. He is a progressive house dj but he does play his fair share of trance on fridays or if some of us visits him or request for it.
It is the passion that drives us to push the trance sound out.

another problem is getting mp3s online. i use to d/l from audiogalaxy, they have the most entensive list of trance music found online, but due to copyrights laws, they dun offer free downloads anymore
. wat i use now is winmx and kazzaa which
uses p2p system. but searching for the right tracks are a pain.
even when the right track is found, it takes ages to d/l when the
user is offline or pple just dun share. sometmes after downloading
the tracks, they turn out to be either corrupted, or the quality
sucks bigtime.
anybody can recomend a good place for music d/ls?
it seems that storm knows his music. i respect that. we need more pple like him in singapore. switch to trance pple!!DC++ public Hub is probably the best place for downloading trance mp3s.
Only place that play a good combination of decent trance, with house and techno is LR.
Tranc.es>two is coming right up on 8th March at Milkbar.
Details at http://www.trancerepublic.com/trances2.htm
Hope to see some of you tranceaddicts there.

Originally posted by LoSt WiTnEsS:thats the beauty of trance, when you experience true trance, you feel the music in you as it engulf your mind and soul and you dance to it. you will never get tired when dancing to trance as long as you feel the music in you. you dance coz the music makes you dance, not becoz you are in a club and everybody's dancing and you wanna be part of the crowd.
its really unfortunate that singapore lacks good clubs which hav house dj who spins trance as house anthem. i feel this is because singapore still lacks pple who support trance thats why the clubs have to bend towards more comercial hits to draw the crowds.
Well said, feel free to check out http://www.trancerepublic.com, local trance consortium by couple of us looking to push and promote the trance sound in the local scene.

Anyone would be tired if he/she dances the whole night regardless of genre but thats how it should be.

stuff from robert miles is dreamy trance, some put it as melodic ambient trance perhaps.
