I think can, but must notify ROV..." Engines
(e.g. replacement of old or irreparable engine to a new or reconditioned engine.)
LTA allows changing of engines provided that it is of the same type as the original one. Therefore, LTA would require the following to be submitted for evaluation:
New or reconditioned engines
a) Invoice or bill of sales from the supplier of the replacement engine.
b) Certification from vehicle manufacturer or the local sole agent stating that the replacement is of the same type as the original one.
Swapping of engines
a) Swapping of engines between two registered vehicles is allowed, provided that both engines are of the same type and engine capacity.
b) After the swap, one of the vehicles must be scrapped immediately while the other must be produced for inspection at LTA "

Hiyah, shouldn't have thrown away that pair of NB which I got when I enlisted in late 1999...Although there's a hole in the toecap area already...The SAF seems to be completely replacing their kits...

"Notice to all SPF Internet surfers

And from what i see, the list is very abigious...

And that ex-canoeist white horse later went on to become an officer?

and i like my beret - the green infantry colour!
Hmm..nothing to great to mention abt my beret though, it's blue and it still stinks...
Hmmm...when do u Infantry Officers get ur peak cap in PT? After Lancer?
And what if you're chosen as colours ensign after commissioning?Do you just change the chin strap from leather to gold or do u trade in for another peak cap altogether?
I've seen many family photos (those taken in studios) which actually depict newly commissioned 2LTs in No. 1 still holding onto their cadet peak cap...

believe they won change all the car into auto. cos there r still demand for manual.
car reved, maybe cos road not flat, then no use handbrake. No lah..Road was flat alright..The car was in and out of the garage several times before my lessons...
It's the engine...And besides, the engine wun rev by itself even if its put on up/downslope...It'll just roll if handbrake is not engaged...
Old car like that one...My dad's liao pok chia sometimes also like that...Thank goodness it never give me too much problem during the times I'm driving it..Edited by Kaczynski 22 Feb `05, 4:02PM

Ohh...Ic...And the slope also? Hmm...
SSDC is gradually scrapping the older manual cars and replacing them with auto ones...
I remember one particular ride I had (car 79) which reved by itself when it was put in neutral and I was resting my foot on the floor...Last time I saw when I went back for Expressway Driving, it was replaced with a brand new auto car liao..

Ubi there really quite heavy traffic compared to SSDC there. The only fear is the convoy of buses ferrying workers to the factories to/fro the industrial park..
Btw, I'm quite interested to know how the 3A syllabus and TP test is like..How is it different from the Class 3? e.g. What circuit items are involved? Anyone care to share?
