Hi all,
I have seen it myself yesterday. There were people wearing it and photos of the demo were taken. I dun have the photos myself and I doubt I can upload it yet if I have them but I can roughly describe it. There are less buttons and more velcro lol. But still will have some buttons and it looks exactly like the US Army Woodland MARPAT.
Something like this:

I'm not sure if my unit will be receiving any urban versions but I will get 4 sets of uniform. All NSFs ORDing after Jan 09 in my unit will have the new uniform, 1 to 1 exchange. Was briefed today to register my sizes on the online emart. The current black boots will have to go too and there will be new ones. Ranks, vocation and formation badges will be sewn on when I receive it next year Jan. By then my unit will be wearing the new uniforms already. Of cos the purchases will be made using a special account with special emart credits. You know where the $$$ come from.
I'm not sure if there will be the grey version for FIBUA. I haven seen it anywhere yet. Maybe we won't even have it. I doubt if its even practical for you to change into the urban uniform inside the jungle and then come out to fight urban warfare lol. It would mean carrying more uniforms. Oh yea thats why the new field pack is bigger. Anyway coming out from the jungle wearing the woodland MARPAT into urban environment will also tell everyone, "Hey I'm here shoot me!!!"
If we indeed have the 2 versions, I can imagine new ways to tekan recruits. Ask u to change to woodland then to urban. Ask u to go up to ur bunk to take ur newly ziplocked urban uniform to pack into field pack. And u will receive another set of urban LBV and field pack? Lol. $$$I believe they should only issue the respective types for units depending on their operating environment.
It'll be nice to get the urban one for those working in office/technical environments.

TS, it's quite simple.
We are part of the coalition, because it confers upon us a net benefit in a strategic sense.
Our ability to inter-operate with US forces in joint operations is increasing. What use is our Armed Forces if we do not ensure that they get experience in peace enforcement (at the very least)?
Certain individuals here do not like American hegemony but at the end of the day, it is national interest that dictates such things, and the global reach of American influence is akin to a force multiplier for states to continue to flourish in a Westphalian system.

Certain groups, Malaysian or foreign, might not want to see Pakatan in power. It harms their self-interests.
The splinter faction theory is a possibility as well. I must say.. this is a well-timed allegation which has also deflected to a certain extent, the allegations by Raja Putra against Najib and his wife in relation to the murder case of the Mongolian model.
It's a pathetic act of desperation designed to derail Anwar's strategy to climb the ladder.

Perhaps roll up as per normal? Unless we've got the similar side shoulder pockets..
For the US Army, the ACU is not meant to be worn with a smart. 4 style.. most simply fold up the cuff in hot weather or just drag it up.
Messy but utilitarian, then again, they're in the desert and they need to keep their skin protected.

Let's just say that we have diplomats in the Foreign Service, and there's also defence diplomacy.
MINDEF doesn't run on Google alone lor.
"The Intelligence Corps
The Intelligence Corps is a vital element within the SAF, entrusted with the responsibility of collecting and analysing real time information and helps in the sacred task of preserving the security of Singapore"http://www.mindef.gov.sg/joint/io/motto.asp
The above basically sums up everything, analysis, research into areas affecting our defence and strategic interests and whatnot..

The blogs are by a lady.
Why do you fellows think it's the NSF concerned? Secondly, there are valid issues of command ineptitude or plain time-wasting outlined.
However, I must say that the NSF should have read through the disruption guidelines before doing anything. Cambridge does accept delayed entrance for undergraduates if you have been accepted. This is up to 1 year at most.
Understand the situation before taking steps, because some things are policy, and policies do not get changed willy-nilly for an individual.
